that's right, where is FF.... completely out of character not to have a fury of pointless blunders.

Agree that it's way odd FF hasn't posted a billion times yet. Maybe he lost his power cord for his computer again. Either that, or maybe his team told him to shut up this time...

I'm not sure what to make of the Noods/Kash thing. Kash is making a huge deal of this, but is that because Noods is reacting so strongly? I understand getting defensive, but not quite this early in the game. Guilty conscience Noods?

I guess I just don't get being so fervent in any judgment at this point in the game anyway. I get pointing things out, and discussing but jumping all over someone for (nearly) anything is as scummy as getting incredibly defensive. I think it's another case of two innocents with histories of high posting getting into it early on day 1.

Or it could be distancing. I also like all the assumptions about FF based on the fact that he hasn't posted yet. I agree it's different for him, but base a role evaluation on it?

Let's take a deep breath folks... it's gonna be a long game.

OMG it's only day one guys... already Kash has got posts coming out of my ears LOL....

LMAO.. I had to laugh when I saw that. I won't have time the whole day all the time like I used to before. So I'll post a lot when I can... and get quiet again when I'm busy. Maybe that'll balance this out for you better. :)

Remember the good ol days when we talked about pizza toppings or shrubbery. I honestly don't know if fast posting is scummy or just anxiousness to start. I do see kash's argument but I also see the other side. I think the reaction by others and Noodles may prove more telling.

LOL @ pizza toppings and shrubbery. And I agree here that it isn't just what Noods did.. but how she reacted when I called her out and watching to see who takes what position in response.

good point, rich.... I'm not sure if it is joking or not... I am not used to page 1 being so serious....

No DD... this isn't a joke at all.

Noods posted early before the game actually started. Having put myself in this same position previously, I learned the hard way what a big deal this is because it's a very scummy thing to do. Coler even acknowledged that much being true with the post he made, as well. It's a careless mistake to make when you're scum that you're not prone to do at all when you're innocent.... and there's absolutely no way to defend yourself later after you've done it. Believe me, I learned that too. So I called Noods out over her little "boo boo" and I voted her to see what would happen.

Who said I posted AFTER the PM's went out? You must have gotten your PM within seconds of JL posting the game thread......:raspberry:
I just so happen to be happy to be playing again....dont be a buzz kill so early in the game! LOL

Nothing scummy about that. Here, Noods simply acknowledged the vote with a touch of sarcasm and dismissed it. No big deal. Had Noods left this alone at this point and gone on with the game posting about other things, it would have died away. My early vote wouldn't have amounted to anything and I'd eventually retract it or switch the vote to some other suspect once the game got going.

I was not going to address this again but...WTH?! .....so I posted before the official "game on" call. wow! ya caught me Kash... you super slueth...

so I made a boo boo. what else is new? If posting too soon in the game is a lynchable offense, then knock yourself out...personally I cannot see how that is a scum tell...

If Noods was in one of the innocent roles, I believe she would not have addressed this again. Why would she bother? A lone vote from me over some trivial Day 1 blunder (that's probably just random anyway) isn't going to get anyone lynched, so why even worry about it, Noodles?

In this case, however, Noods knew she shouldn't touch it according to her statement above that she was "not going to address this again but...." And as a veteran player Noods knows why she shouldn't have said anything more.

Even so, she still couldn't leave it alone.

Noods is no stranger to being in the hot seat, that's for sure. But when she's evil, this kind of scrutiny tends to unravel her. That doesn't happen when Noods is innocent... she takes everything in stride.

Noods coming back again to discuss this even more tells me she DOES have something to hide from us AND that my voting her for that post got to her for some reason. No, this does not conclusively pin her as being evil all by itself. Of course not. But it's a huge indicator in Nood's case that bears watching how her play continues in this game. It's just one little puzzle piece that I'll tuck away for later comparison a few days from now when we're all analyzing voting patterns and such.

can you explain to (as you would to a five year old!) how posting too soon is a scum tell? ...because of course any "baddy" would be sure to jump the gun and call attention to themselves before the game even starts, right? :duh:

I made my apparently very interesting, erroneous post before I got a PM of any nature so not sure how it could be construed as indicative of any role. Do we have another player with ESP? *gasp*

After this... Noods came back to my vote again and asked me to explain it. Hmmm.. okay, Noods. I was happy to oblige. Perhaps Noods wasn't counting on the fact that I'd have a real explanation why it's considered a scum tell. But I did, so there we are. Again, Noods should've left this alone. Even against her own better judgement, she couldn't let it slide.

THAT's the most reliable scum tell of all.

Kash, you seem to be trying to justify your vote based on one instance that YOU were involved in...I fail to see the relevance as to how/why Noods posted and the bearing on her role. I've been anxious myself after going without a couple games. Sometimes just posting again feels good...I don't believe that I was in that game you mention, so it's hard for me to comment on any similarities, but still...one isolated instance does not create a "scum tell" as you say describe it as...

As for FF...meh. As much as he does post, I don't expect him to be around 24/7. I haven't checked when he was last on but I think he has shown that he post A LOT no matter the role.

Aside from Noods responding badly to my vote, I noticed something else I feel was important as the rest of the day continued.

How to you know Noodles got an evil role ?

I vote to Lynch Kashta

Coler posted what I thought was a reasonable question to ask. Then he went on to vote me, too. Okay, that vote makes his position now in relation to Noodles a little stronger. Still, I didn't think too much of that at the time.

Actually there was more to it than that - I remember the game well - We (eh I lol) saved you on a last minute vote switch night 1 having spent the day defending you. The 'more to it' was that your post was basically definitely that of a scum, based either on content or timing - I can't quite recall - but I was amazed anyone let you away with it.

I don't see what of Noodles post makes it inherently scummy - your attempt to compare it to your situation in the other game...is misconceived.

No, no no no...your post in the other game was actually blatantly a scumbag post because a I think about it now it was something about the timing of JL's pms which made it so. Seriously...your attempt to leverage this is really quite odd.

This post from Coler is significant... not just because of the points he tried to make possibly trying to defend Noodles. Of all people, Coler... (1) after having to work so hard to bail me out in that previous game... (2) for the fact that it was a very scummy thing to do, which he's confirmed for us there... and (3) because I managed to get away with it then due to Coler's efforts (which is true).... Coler would be the last person who'd be surprised that I'd let some other player do the exact same thing and just let them get away with it.

If Noods is evil... Coler is trying to help his teammate out of the spot she's in. If Noods is innocent, I seriously doubt Coler would have given this much mind when it happened. And he certainly would not have been surprised that I (of all people) would vote someone for doing what Noodles did today.
