Mafia #7 -- The Play

I'm not fighting back? Have you even read my posts? See this is why I told everyone I wouldn't be able to post much, because I CAN'T and I did not want that to be used against me. So much for being honest and open with people /sigh. I am an Innocent. I have read and do read every single post, many multiple times. The only case against me is what I basically brought against myself by trying to be honest. People are being very persistant and relentless to follow this train and it's not helping the town out in the least bit.

I love watching people like IceH20 try and backpeddle already. Pointing fingers elsewhere to shift the blame because he most likely knows this is going to end up badly for the people making the persistant accusations. But, with so many mafia in the game, it really doesn't surprise me at all that so many are so eager and quick to jump into a train head first without even bothering to see all the red flags going up around them.

Understand something Sway, its true trains like this one make me very nervous. As well, on the day of the lynch i have Ice laying the groundwork of a case against me should you be an innocent. Another alarm. If he knows your innocent he will definately make sure Mad or i hang for starting this train tomorrow and in fact, may have already begun his evil work. And i fully understand that a case as thin as mine is no certainly guarantee that you are going to be mafia, Cory's gut feelings are probably better.

Hey guys, I know I've been slack. My computer started freaking out and I couldn't use it for most of the day until Malefic got home and showed me how to clear the stored cookies and stored files. Now I know how to do it! Then our internet was down while we booted someone who had signed on to our wireless network and we had to figure out how to make it an encrypted network so no one else could use it. Ugh. After all that i was really too annoyed to concentrate, so we watched Day of the Dead 2: Contagium and went to bed.

What a nice story. Trouble is i don't believe you. Welcome to the hotseat. Any thoughts on the game thusfar, or will there be a post in the morning explaining you couldnt type because of a hangnail???

As far as who i think is leaning innocent at this time, Dangerdoll and Madcrawdad. I read their posts and nothing stuck out and ave me a bad feeling about them.

Leaning mafia - Swayde, of course. . . . for someone who is busy and can't post a lot, she definitely seems to be overcoming her schedule and posting quite a bit.

Also JohnLarson. . . . at this point, after having several games where everyone was encouraged to go invisible, he still refuses to do so. His basic argument is that he doesn't use PM's when he is mafia so you wouldn't catch him anyway, so it's not worth checking. I think it's more a matter of screaming "I'm innocent, I'm innocent!" without having to say a word. Not invisible? Must have nothing to hide, so I'll overlook him. I think he's just using it as a reverse psychology bluff.

Charlie heads out to the hairsalon. He hates being a hairstylist and wishes he were something better. Like a potatoe farmer. Or a chimney sweep. Some of the fella's at the bar snickered at Charlie's job but never to his face, or they would be apt to be sniffling fresh blood back up their noses.

Morning all. Some interesting talk last Night. Swayde glad to see you respond to the votes against you. Here's the thing though. You now seem very much like "Old Sway" from the first game you played. It is almost an overplay like you are typecasting yourself. What was that 15 posts in a row? I still haven't had anyone reply about the convience store slip up you made. Small things like that stick out to me.

Hmmm well the swayde train is really leaving the station, but not before some more people hop on I'm sure...again I will most likely vote sway as well, but I would like to see their response to the numerous votes for them...I am also hesitant to jump on the train, which most likely is half mafia right now, this early in the game. No real discussion is going on. A lot of people are reiterating Charlies or Mads or Ices thoughts on swayde, with out adding anything of their own...

I disagree, there has been much more discussion, albeit spread out, than on most previous Day 1's IMO.

ZS was making me edgy right when the game started, I think it was mostly his post about people posting in groups, which he then said he didn't actually really look at. Mafia-ish tactic to start pointing fingers at things that don't exist. ALthough I don't think I've ever seen him play a game when he's been mafia so I don't know if his style changes at all.

Wasn't pointing at anyone, only observing. Glad to finally get a full response from you on the issue, but not what I was expecting from you. Your very different from last Round, I haven't figured out what that means just yet.

Hey all, I finally got to get on, wow lots of talk about swayde and Jo going on. So many more ppl stand out to me to..the ones with little no substance post they really bug me.
KOTD-only 3 post so far 1 just a I'm here kinda post, 1 comment on Z's post in the beginning, and 1 to vote to lynch swayde.
That just seems odd to me personally. I know he starts out slow but wow.
Sploke-Very few posts here, MANY on other threads. Only 1 post with anything to it. Although they were good observations in that post.
Z-struck me funny he hadn't posted in a while then CS makes that point and POOF a post from him, saying he had been at work..which very well may be the case but it was just extremely weird timing.

I hate "jumping" on trains but there are some very good points out there toward Swayde I think. They have been posted over and over so everyone knows why she looks suspicious I'm not going to re-post them all. And although I hate the early train thing, as of right now Swayde seems the best candidate so I VOTE TO LYNCH SWAYDE, This is DEFINATLY subject to change.

I believe because they have already posted pretty much everything, when more reasons come up I'm sure they will be posted, but as of now pretty much everything that makes her look guilty has been stated several times.

I love the folks that say something like... "man that sure looks like a train to me.... BUT, they do seem like a good candidate so I'll vote for them too." However, Lady G you are way quieter than last round. Of course I think you played most everyone then, and you could do it now. You definately get my "Rookie of Mafia Game" nomination.

The speed with which this train on Swayde got going makes me really uneasy. If the mafia know she is innocent (or at least not on their own mafia team), they're going to be quick to jump on early. If she's an innocent, then thats 10 people rather than just 5 that will be willing to go along with it. With this many mafia I think we're going to have to be very wary of the trains getting started like this. Also, Ice so pointedly making it clear that, "hey, when we lynch an innocent, it wasn't my fault"...why making it that clear, you know something we don't?

Hmmm, well I don't know why this is bothering me but something seems different about KOTD's gameplay. It has nothing to do with his post count, but this post just strikes me as odd...KOTD isn't the type of person to post a quick few sentences before he finishes reading, let alone putting a vote in the same post...I don't know why, but this doesn't seem right for KOTD. Maybe I'm reaching here, maybe I'm paranoid, but something is weird here...

Have to agree here. King's post certainly made me stop and think. Although his posts have been short in the past, they weren't quite like those posts. The difference, I dunno. It was sorta less bruntish, hard to explain.

I understand that. My concern is that people have been focusing a lot on swayde, maybe too much. I think she is definitely the best suspect but there have been quite a few just couple sentence posts saying "I agree with the people who think she is suspicious so I will vote for her." And those people are the ones who are also going to be on my list, especially if she turns up innocent.

And to make sure I at least have a vote tomorrow (I just remembered what my day is going to b like...busy!)

While I agree with the top portion of this post, when I get to where pappy is going to be busy and wants to put his post in, something just isn't sitting right with me. Just remembered what the day is going to be like, busy.... eh... I don't know about that. I'm thinking he believes adding the Sway vote will get the smoke from over him.

Wow Ice, you sure are trying really hard to cover your *** because you know that when I am lynched and come up as Innocent people will start to look at those who were pushing the hardest, and whether you started it or not, you sure are pushing for it the loudest and hardest.

I thought of this this morning as well... and then I read Ice's posts. It seems to me that Ice might not have started the train on Sway but being that Ice is a high profile player, he does keep the ideas about sway being guilty prevalent. And then there is the cover my butt syndrom he has displayed by indicating that if Sway is innocent, be sure you all know, I didn't start this train, why even say that this early in the game?

Sorry Chicken, but this is a wide excuse used in the Mafia. You sure you didn't wind up watching "The Godfather"?

Now that you have stated this Charlie, I doubt Ice will be acting this way. He will be sure not to bring the heat onto him, he's working already to try to paint the innocent picture.

There are 2 things that have happened since my last posts that concern me...The Ice back-peddle makes me VERY leary....It seems like people only want to cover their tracks if they have something to hide. The second thing is that I placed so huge concerns about watachicken out there and her only response was the the computer was acting up but then it was time to watch a movie. No strong defense, no suspect list to say "I know I was unable to help, but here's my contribution to the town now that I'm back." I'm tempted to change my vote but I'm going to think on it a bit before heading out to work....

i agree DC that the ice back peddle scares me a bit too. It seems as if he knows what swayde is and doesnt want to be associated with his death. It def spooks me.

Meh I come and go. Depends a lot on what else is going on. I usually have a lot of free time at work so I'll post more during the day.

I'm pretty much in tune with what has been stated about Jo and swayde so far, but I want to do my own looking tomorrow. The skimming business from jo was what did it...there have definitely been games when I barely skim everything to keep up, but its always been when I was mafia.

Charlie is usally more aggressive and talkative, but I've seen him on both sides so I don't know if that means anything. Will do some more looking tomorrow.

This post is driving me nuts simply because after looking at "find other post" for sploke, you see sploke posted like 25 other times in other forums the same day...but didn't have time to look into things here and needs to wait until tomorrow to do own looking? Why wouldn't you have been looking to try and help the town out here more, if you had enough time to go to all the other forums to post? Maybe it is just me though who knows.

Yesterday was my son's 12th birthday. I was in a great mood and I didn't have much time for posting.

Awww birthdays are sooo great! Why didn't you mention this before? I'm not saying I dont think your son had his birthday, just wondering why you wouldn't have mentioned "my son's b-day is tomorrow/today so I wont be on much" especially if you know ppl are talking about you and your post you said several times you wont have time to play why would you not add that as a reason? Just courius.

I'm not voting Swayde because others are if that is what you are trying to say..I would of been on Swayde anyway because of things that were pointed out already by the time I was able to get on and get caught up, but all had already been mentioned. The only reason I haven't posted as much this game is because the game started while I was at work, didn't get home until late and then had to get the kids of to school the next morning and ended up with a day shift, by the time I got home had to get supper and tried to get on but my son called ended up having to go get him and his friends and run them across town, got back home...little ones needed baths, snacks, bedtime books, then was able to get on and try to get caught up on everything.
And thanks BTW, I had fun last game....well till the CIA took me out:mad2:
