Hits don't always go through, they might end up not getting the hit that night then they'd have to waste another night for a hit and still aren't guaranteed that hit will go through. The FBI got more hits then the CIA did last game.

This way they are sure to get me and if I was mafia then they have you fooled the rest of the game as KOTD can just say my investigation was hit last night or they showed up innocent.

Okay, but you've outed yourself as the doctor....now both teams will be gunning for you. Had you tried posting some logic BEFORE outing yourself and the detective, you might have seemed less scummy. You didn't, though. If a true townie, outing yourself and the detective should have been the LAST thing done to save yourself, not the FIRST.

Whats the difference if I'm hit or lynched tonight?

If I'm lynched the townies did it and helped the mafia.

If I'm hit the town has a chance to find and hit a mafia.

I never outed the Detective because they never came forward.
