Ogre wakes up feeling very strange. Why does my clock read 8:45 PM and my calendar say 1963, he thinks. How can I live without my internet? My car has more computing power than every functioning computer in the world... wait... car... Hmmm... maybe I can buy a couple of Mustangs and store them somewhere. Surely someone will get me back to where I belong... wherever, whenever that is.

Maybe someone in this town will help me. They look like friendly people.

He feels like he had an all night bender with water buffalo and a steam locomotive, but he didn't have even one drop of the creature. It seems pretty clear to me the year is 1963 the game number was 63, his hint said the town is split between the good and bad guys, that game was a 50/50 game (SPLIT), and it seems a bit colder then usual, Ice was the mod....ICE IS COLD.

And why wouldn't we try to figure out which game format we are playing...seems like a pretty important thing to me.

I would be willing to believe he knows how since he's SWITCHED IT DURING THE GAME. That's just my thought though...

I will say that I'm a bit suspicious of FF, but can't really pinpoint a reason.

I don't think that playing "Invisable" or not is a scum tell. Upon extensive statistical modeling, including chi-square and regression analysis, I've found that there is no significant correlation between role assignment and appearance in the visible spectrum of light.

Wow, I'd forgotten how much extra reading this game can be - day 1 has been more "grown-up" reading than I can usually fit in all week! (sans the incredible Dr. Suess, of course) I am totally overwhelmed by info. A few things that have jumped out at me:

The format is totally challenging, in terms of finding mafia. I think that figuring out format each day will be important, but that until day 2 it's kind of a moot point; once we see how jpap's clues work, we will have a better idea of how to proceed.

I hate defending a player I don't know anything about, but the invisible controversy seems silly to me. Didn't FF say that he had a new strategy? I think that this is probably just day 1 boredom, but still, silly.

I also don't like lumping players together on day 1. (player a and player b are distancing, etc) I'm not sure that it leads to anything on day 1 except distraction when there are real baddies to chase down later on. It's probably inevitable, but icky-feeling nonetheless.

Has everyone checked in at this point? Also, do we have a vote count?

The "get over it" was a genuine FF moment. I dont have a good aswer to you question, so IDK will have to do. I guess i just dont want to be noticed as much (god knows that happens) and it sort of backfired. Also i have been invisible for about 3 games now. I think... cant remember, to lazy to go back and check. Also, i really didnt know if mafia could communicate, MR. I always vote FF first. Must... not... overreact...
