OK Chill, pull up a chair, remove the cork from your bottle and pass it my way. I actually have time tonight instead of trying to read 4 pages of posts 1 hr before night fall like last game.

My initial vote on JM was because his posts stood out like a sore thumb in the midst of the joking around we were doing.

After I got home from work yesterday, I read the posts and like I said found JP's and Zaffy's grilling him to be more unsettling than his posts.

Early in D1 I never have anything solid to vote anyone for, but like to make sure, as I posted before, that I don't UD. (By signing up to play I take it as giving my word to all who signed up that I will play and participate to the best of my ability.) JM's posts were the most noticeable thing at that point in time.

I also remember a few games back where I started with "I came to kick but and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of bubble gum." -Roddy Piper, They Live. It almost got me lynched taking that serious tone, I was innocent.

I don't feel comfortable voting to lynch someone because they want to root out scum. I realize that JM has played before and should have expected that kind of response that early in the game but I didn't feel comfortable with my vote on him for that reason alone. I also didn't like that there were 4 on him and 1 on JP at the time if memory serves, and many other's had expressed concern about him as well. Not knowing where their votes would fall it looked like we could have had a landslide lynch where we would learn nothing from the voting patterns.

Does that explain it to you clearly enough?

What can I say, I'm a quiet person. I've been reading everything and to be honest it's a bit overwhelming and difficult to soak it all in. I feel like I'm not picking up on anything worthwhile. Like I have no clue what I am doing. Could it be that I'm not meant to play a game like this? Possibly, but I'm still enjoying myself.



Want to talk about scarcity? I think Rich has posted what, maybe 5 times so far? And he's a veteran? What's that all about? Bringing up noobs but ignoring a vet? What's THAT all about?

The main thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself. I get a kick out of the mental challenge presented by these games.

Yes Rich is low laying player, he always is which, as you play more, you will discover why so many of us have a hard time getting a read on him. We all have our own style of play and you will develope one that suits you as well. I have only played about 6 or 7 of these myself and am barely settling into a style that feels comfortable for me. I didn't single out the noobs, I post in spurts as time allows so get the stuff I notice first out of the way first.

Poking is what this game is all about. I feel honored to have received your vote. If I didn't step on someone's toes hard enough to draw a vote I would wonder if I was actually playing well. :grinyes:
 
I guess if he doesn't show, Ice could still declare it NIGHT so no one can keep posting or switch their votes anymore. That is, if Ice is still here.

Labby's? I had a list of suspicious things. This isn't my first time playing a mafia-ish game, just my first time on a forum doing it. That honestly did come from me, I skimmed through the vampire game and you were evil. I have heard comments about your evil-ness.
couldn't help it, huh? I think you were told to say something like that. I'm feeling really good about my vote on Labby at this point. If she shows evil; you're next on my list P.
