Ok, so it seems that bunch of people jump onto pat, and then he shrugs it off with more of a non-sense post. That makes it sound to me like he is trying to go under the radar by not arguing or making a big case in his defense. IME when I'm innocent I ALWAYS try as hard as possible to prove so, (and when I'm guilty:silly: too but thats a different story entirely) Anyways, I find it strange that he has gotten so many votes so quickly. Would hate to see him turn innocent, but for lack of better suspects I vote to lynch pat
If pat shows up tonight and makes a good case against some other players then he might prove himself innocent. Do you have anything to say for yourself pat?

So you are voting him because he reacted differently than YOU would? Right...and if I were Pat I wouldn't have said those things in the first place so does that mean I should vote for him?

Oh DD...sometimes I think you try to use that little skimming title of yours to your advantage. If you look at THE VERY NEXT POST I said that part was for Razz.

I'm not sure of Pat at this point. I don't see the point in assuming that the team is letting him loose since IME newbs that are mafia do a heck of a lot better not saying anything at all. I'm not going to jump on that train since I don't really see it.

UN kinda has me worried and I think Ice said it better than I can. Prefacing your vote on a train with something along the lines of not liking the train always makes me go hmmm.

But maybe I am feeling nostalgic...DD completely skims over my correction and tries to use my original post to take a jab at me. I mean, she gets home and can post and what she picks up on is a bunch of fluff, my post, and something pat said to which she is arguing over wording. Really?

This would worry me less if it didn't put JB closer to the block without stating any reasons. Might as well have voted a singleton randomly if you can't at least say why you are putting the second vote on someone.

Day 1 strategy is oxymoronic in my opinion. Typical day 1 is leap on a slip, lynch an innocent, apologize, move on, try to find some pattern in the voting that can help Day 2.

I'm okay with asking for thoughts but if we don't allow people to post their fluff there isn't much oppurtunity for them to slip up. Sure you have to sift through the crap but without it's there's nothing to look for.

Typical day one - lots of fluff. I do have a feeling that Pat slipped and apparently so do many others....My vote may go there but I want to wait a little while longer, see waht else happnes and read again. Starting late leaves me at a bit of a disadvantage but :huh:

My reasoning is that it being day one (as more experienced people have said) I haven't had a chance to feel very many people out. Plus I spent most of it with my foot in my mouth digging an unnecessarily deep hole. I am simply listening to other people who state that your responses are "typical of being guilty". I am too lazy to quote right now.. Once I see how people vote tonight I can better play the game..

Then you say you'd hate for him to show innocent but further down in the post you attack him by pulling posts of others questioning him. For someone you hate to have to vote for because you don't have other suspects you sure did try to build a case.

I was refering more to how there was a quick succesion of posts that targeted him, all I meant was that it seemed odd.

As for me then voting him, I feel that I had a valid argument in my mind, but not the type of thing where its cut clear whether pat is scum or not. It's day 1, so every vote is a lot like a shot in the dark but this is by far the leader on my suspect list.
