I don't think the free leagues are custom.

The commissioner leagues I play in are but they cost money. 160.00 per league which if its 10 team thats $16 per player and no room for payouts. Most the ones I play in now are just bragging rights but me and a guy I played with had a payout league for 8 yrs and we charged 25 a head and broke the extra money into 3 different payouts.

Also we made them keeper or dynasty leagues so if you sucked one year you could build around a core of players.

my friend tried to get me into a keeper league, there was 4 protects and 9 other teams. So I basically would've started drafting in the 4th round.....

I wouldn't mind a league where you got to keep a rookie that you drafted. If you picked one up it wouldn't count.

I don't mind taking over a bad team, takes longer to win the championship but with only 4 keepers shouldn't be hard at all.

I took over a dynasty football so there is no draft except for a 2 round rookies draft, the rest is build through free agency. This will be my 1st season but I think I made some good moves and the guy before me looks like he went with potential vs studs and I'm actually thinking it might be an above 500 team but not playoff worthy YET.

We also use IDP, individual defensive players.

thats gotta be quite interesting ice. I'm more of a fan of the traditional draft a team, lose half of them to injuries by the time the playoff begin, and then get stud free agents.
