Hi everyone, sorry about the lack of posting, got dragged into a family reunion.:crazy:

Lady G has been viewing a lot but hasn't posted much.

That's really not a good scum-tell. Take it from me.

It adds a bit of confusion to the mix to choose a new player and there is a really good chance they would take out another newer player or one that always looks scummy and put the gun into another player with a high risk of taking out an innocent.
It doesn't really matter how many vets are left. We only get 5 misses.

That's a crappy reason.

Salt and Pir, we are over 16 hours into the game and neither of you have posted.

Two points I would like to point out.

1) This is not the format to hide in, it can make a target of you very quickly. If scum, you will die.

2) We are facing 33% scum. If an innocent is targeted, we lose a valuable body numbers wise, if you UD we lose a valuable body numbers wise.

We cannot afford to lose any innocents.

I have an idea. I think everyone should make a list of their top three people (only three because it is still early in the game and hard to tell who is mafia) suspected to be mafia and then we can look at all of the lists and see who turns up the most.

I know it's early in the game but it could give us something useful.

My list (in no particular order): FF, Ice, LG. The last one (LG) is only a guess.

Ok, sooo, you can only choose 3 'solid' ones but you can put a guess in as solid?

OK, I am seeing some posting coming along and that is good.

However I am beginning to think that the few questions I asked were not the right questions. ( I would still like to see the answers though)

If YOU were the gunslinger, and had to take your shot right now at this very moment, WHO would you shoot and WHY?

IceH20, he's acting scummy and if he were innocent, I'd trust him with a gun.

Now, I do have to say that I agree with JB and JP about JS. :nilly:

I vaguely mentioned JS before and have thought that maybe he was trying to distance from Ice, but it's hard telling. The cries of innocence are sounding a bit desperate IMO and we all know how much weight they hold. If it was a one time thing I would ignore it but three times on one page?

I would not shoot Ice. he love his off the wall theories and many times they are not as far fetched as in the first reading. I would believe right now he wants to be shot if the Wiz cant figure out some one else as scummy.

I cant figure if Pigs is a confused newbie who is innocent or a mafia who realizes he might be in trouble and is trying to dig out of it. I would consider shooting him.

If I had to shoot right now I would shoot LG, something does not quite feel right about her. If I was wrong LG getting the gun would not be the worst thing in the world.

This whole post seems pretty scummy to me, Rich.

If Ice were shot and innocent, he'd get the gun which would be still beneficial to the town. It would be bad to lose Wiz and not hit a mafia but it's a chance worth taking.

You say you'd consider shooting JS but you can't figure out if he's just a confused noobie or not. Do you think we should take a chance at putting the gun into the hands of said confused newbie?

Shooting LG on a just a feeling? It also sounds pretty scummy that you say her getting the gun wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Given her ability to help out scum while innocent, would you really want that for the town? (No harm meant, LG, I mean it all in good fun.)

1.Why do we think the mafia chose Wiz?

2.Who do you think would choose Wiz as the 1st Slinger?

I actually think most all of us would choose a top player as 1st slinger for the reasons already said. I think Wiz was chosen for his announced lack of time.

I wouldn't choose a a player that makes themselves look scummy. I also wouldn't choose players that are hard to read for the slinger because I'd want the slinger to have to wonder about them.
I might choose a new player as slinger just because its almost a 100% chance they would miss just because they don't yet know what they are looking for.

I'm not saying its a line of thought. I was only explaining why I would possibly choose a new player as slinger.

We already know they didn't so yes its a moot discussion.

You need to read further along in the thread. It wasn't a theory it was a hypothetical. I was only explaining why I as a mafia would put the gun in the hands of a new player and saying what could happen in that instance.

As for why I posted I'd have put it in a new players hand take what you want from it.

For the bolded part. I'm saying that as mafia they wouldn't choose a player that is hard to read to be the slinger. This causes the slinger to have to wonder about the hard to read players. which makes the game harder for the slinger.

All of these quotes are about who Ice would pick if he was a mafia goon. It seems odd to me that he would keep posting about who he would choose when he can't change the mafias decision. This makes it seem to me that Ice might be trying to make himself seem innocent by saying he would have picked someone different.

I've got to agree with Tay here, Rich. No offense to LG, but with her well known position as ACville's resident weather person, she's not the one I'd like to see with the gun if the shot is wrong. Though I can see that the scum team would feel easier about her having it than Ice.

I just thought of this, and didn't take the time to go back and pull JS's post but he (JS) mentioned that if he were being coached it would have to be done in the game thread. Now Pir shows up, excuses some pretty dang scummy behavior and demonstrates "in thread" coaching... trying to lend credibility to a teammate's claim?

Yes Ice having the gun would not be a bad thing. I would rather he have the gun much later on.

I would hesitate to shoot pigs because he is new and he may not have a feel about everyone yet.
