Okay, to answer everyones question. By jumping on the train this is what I ment; Ff and wiz were talking last night and I came on and started to try help the town in my eyes. Then yes I said my theory was going to be lowish posters at the point. Then wiz and FF jump on me a bit about it and before I even had the chance to answer fully, rich comes on with his first or second post about the issue or that night for that matter and places a vote. Which i thought was unusual. That is also why I voted for him. I hope that clears that up a little.

Now kash, yes maybe one of the scum is being vocal but wouldn't it be a better strategy to come on and just do a few posts then leave it to not draw attention to themselves? That is what I'm thinking. Now both rich (because of what's stated above) and FF (what others have already said) are in my books for now. Who to keep my vote on, idk.

For some players... yes. For other players... no.

It all depends on what each person's "usual" style of play is and whether or not their manner of playing is consistent. Some people play differently depending on the role they get. Some people play pretty much the exact same game, regardless of role... which makes them very difficult to read.

Rich for example, is very often a very quiet player who falls under everyone's radar BOTH when he is innocent and when he's evil.

Now just look at me, for comparison. I'm usually rather vocal and active in a game (when I have time to devote to this). That's true when I'm a townie and I've learned it's necessary to still play that way when I'm a PR... instead of letting myself feel like I should hide more so no one decides to kill me. Now, if I suddenly got quiet all the time whenever I was evil.............. don't you think other players would notice that? And if I behaved that way (laying low) every time I was evil... then THAT would be a telling sign anyone could use to determine which side I was on.

So the statement you made about focusing on that "laying low" strategy exclusively could easily be viewed as a scummy tactic on your part. The fact that you've also been laying low yourself doesn't help matters any in your case.

And your quick OMGUSSY vote against Rich is also something the scum side does, sometimes..... particularly when it's a noob or rookie player in an evil role.

A theory is a possibility, not certainty, so yes it could be totally wrong. But with that said, I don't know many peoples games yet. And my vote on rich was because of what I stated before.

Yes, got that. And because you're relatively new at this I'm still trying to give you some benefit of doubt. That does wear a little thin, however, the more games you play.

Since posting any theory may also be a scum tactic instead of just an innocent possibility... that explains why you got questioned and voted.

I am still trying to decide who I'm going to vote for at this point, myself, which is why I keep asking people questions.

I'm back with some posts....

FF my above post answers some of your question and I'm still looking into my theory of lying low. So therefore I'm looking at noodes, rich etc who have low posts. But I want to hear some input from them before I vote.

Speaking of lying low... how do you not fit the profile of lying low?

Because I'm trying to help and I believe my post count shows that I'm trying to contribute.

Very well put, I was thinking the same thing this morning. While I am not clearing FF by any means, for now

I retract my vote on FF and vote to take the soul of Hay.

I will still be watching you FF but Hay has set of a few alarms in my head this morning.

Explain away. No vote is set in stone, well on day one anyway. You have been asked several times and have not said much or tell us how we should proceed, I always am welcome to a good idea.

I have already answered this. I have answered most or all questions, put out a theory and suspects. I'm trying to help the town and I'm just getting hammered. So I don't know anymore.

I don't think your getting a horrible hammering... People are suspecting you but if your a townie it shouldn't matter all that much since it's not like you have everyones votes yet. I am not saying stop posting but the "I don't know" type stuff is getting old. If you don't know, don't say it.

I asked you about the banter first and I was the first vote, just want to be accurate here. Saying I am looking at low posters means nothing, sorry. What were you looking at as you did not see anything else going on?

This whole conversation put together doesn't sit right with me... I feel like Hay chilled out a lot after voting. I don't really know what to think about the way he is refering to ff, wiz and rich. I have a feeling that hay is scum and one of the three is also with him.

If FF- it would be a great distancing attempt by mentioning him in posts but I don't think either would think of it...

If Wiz- Again it would be a great attempt and I could see Wiz coming up with a plan.

If Rich- This is where things get confusing. I could see Rich coming up with the voting for eachother plan and he seemed to get on and get right back off of his case on Hay dispite his vote there. I almost think they are scum but neither want to push too hard just in case they get lynched...

But of all of this, Hay isn't confirmed as either the murderer or the troubled spirit.

I can't give you any proof of my role, but i can honestly say im doing my best to aid the town. I am back on my meds, these are long lasting ones, so im controlled until 3-4 o'clock. After that, i make no promises and hope you will disregard any spelling errors i make, or mix ups i have.

Hay, you need to say something other then "I have nothing to say at this moment." You may as well just not post at all. If you had to come up with a vote, who would you vote for? Got any scum lists? Got anything at all? Cause im pretty sure whats been happening between me-n-wiz isn't all banter.

Gotta wonder about someone who's only "pretty sure" whether he's just bantering/distancing with a teammate......... or not.

Think I'll address this now since FF is back on the thread.

FF what surprised me so much about the coherent posts you made wasn't the fact that they were well written or even the specific phrasing you chose to use. I've seen you do that before and I know you're a reasonably intelligent person. I've also told you myself a few times that you have a very good basic understanding of the game, that you're often rather perceptive about reading other players. You've seen many comments like that about you from me in various communicating boards. So have other people here.

The biggest problem I have accepting the posts you made as being your own is more based on their content. That and the fact that I still feel you have a somewhat limited (noob type) grasp of the finer subtleties of mafia tactics and strategy.

If what you posted really did come from your own independent thought process, then I'm clearly wrong about that. But if someone DID help you formulate all those many strategic considerations you included as your own.... then you simply are not innocent this time.

This is something else that concerns me. You being back in school so you're back on your meds notwithstanding.... in the past, you've admitted that you can sometimes control your compulsion to post too much blabber and post too often when you have some other outlet for all the thoughts you get. At times, this has enabled you to limit your posts (somewhat) in the past... which usually meant that you used a communicating board as your outlet instead of the game thread.

If that is the case this game and you are NOT communicating elsewhere with a scum buddy... what is the outlet you are using this time?
