Mafia 80: Ghost Hunters

If Noods is the murderer how have we gotten rid of her? She is still playing as far as I know.

The time line and content of her posting shows a change after night fall on D2.

The GH's get a turn on D2. I sent a pm to LG to ask if the murderer were turned could the scum turn or only kill. The response was that I was correct if the murderer were turned, the scum can only kill

From what I can see she is now playing for the town.

There may have been another post I should've quoted, but I can look for that later.

Rich and Wizard:

You both seem to conclude that Noods is innocent now. I disagree.

I doubt her innocence since that's the main reason I went over her earlier posts in the first place in a linear fashion (originating with Noods as murderer and ending as still-evil at present) when I posted my vote to show her entire game has been consistently evil (as in murderer). I was also looking for a teammate because several vets seem to be working together.

However, I realized after my post that this was not the only possible explanation for Nood's post on Day 3. While she may, in fact, be the murderer, she might also be a later turn. Both possibilities exist.

It's very difficult (and dangerous) for anyone to accuse someone as the actual murderer simply for being absent among a multitude of absent players early in the game, interpreting things wrong, or making some posts which implicate innocents. This would only support that suspicion... it doesn't prove it.

Heck, if we were to follow that approach as our criteria... we could use it hang nearly every player in the game.

I realized something important. I was getting ahead of myself without considering Noods as a possible turn instead. And that was not being fair.

I do believe Noods is highly suspicious now and she may be the murderer too.... but it was inaccurate of me to reach both conclusions at once.

That's why I retracted my vote against Noods when I did.

It does not mean I no longer suspect her, or others who may be working with her today.

My suspect list as it stands now includes (in alphabetical order):

Noods, Pappy, Rich, Wizard.

I admit I'm having trouble deciding between them most of all.

Each of these 4 veteran players have been relentless in their focus against newer, less experienced players.

At the same time, they've only gone through the motions of questioning other vet players who are very difficult to read and, therefore, must be questioned too... perhaps even more.

Is that really looking for scum? No. It's pretending to be helpful while actually manipulating us and taking advantage of their targets.... long enough for the murderer to recruit even more players who are best able and most effective at doing the exact same thing.

A disturbing pattern seems to be emerging. Ace players pressuring noobs/rookies into making a mistake, then hounding them about it over and over until that error either gets them lynched, provokes them to reveal their own role as a PR, or forces them to admit they think someone else might be a PR. Then they use that against them.

It is scummy play to single out the players they've gone after so hard, time and time again. Where one leaves off.. another begins.

That is a good point but, remember, only the first 2 turns are guaranteed. After that it is 50/50 chance. Therefore, the attempt on Kashta was left to chance if it would have been a turn attempt or a hit attempt.

That is not what I was referring to. You said in post #1218 that "If the murderer is turned the scum can no longer turn all they can do is kill. This would explain the write up when Kashta protected herself. They didn't inject her, they pushed her over the rail on the stairs. The result would have been her death. Take note of the part in bold below."

The only time the murderer would have been turned was AFTER the hit/turn was attempted in the first place. Therefore you cannot say that LG's write up proves that the murderer was turned N2.

I don't know how else to put this for you.

The logic is in Noods posts. There is a change in them I really don't see why you cannot see it unless you choose not to.

I cannot choose to not see something I have yet to see in the first place.

I have assumed nothing I was clarifying what Wiz was posting.

Being new doesn't exclude someone from being a suspect. You know this Kash.

Of course not, Pappy. And noticing a slip that may hurt the town, and prodding them about it to force them to reveal even more than they already slipped out is not being pro-town either.

With that, I vote to take the soul of Jpappy. See above post.
