Also, can I put a clown loach in my 5g with the oscar and chicklid? They look neat.

That should be fine for now but I heard clown loaches like to be in groups so I'm planning to get 5 more tomorrow. You could easily fit 5 more in that huge 5 gallon tank. I would get 10 though if I was you. The more the merrier I always say.

Duh...fish breathe water that's why they have gills. You need to read some books...or you could just ask the guy working at the fish counter at your local discount store. I learned a lot from asking those guys stuff. They told me the purple string is fantastic and the fish love it. Plus I use it to pick up the rock when I dump the food in for the fish. That way I can use one hand for the rock and one for the food. I have to do it quick so the fish won't jump out. They were having a sale on those rocks so I bought 2 in case one breaks. They were only $29.95...the regular price was $35.

The last time I was at my discount store I had to get the guy in the garden section to help get my fish. He never told me about rocks with purple strings. I'm gonna have to go back and get a couple. I hope they're on sale.

yes shampoo, the kind for cats that keeps away fleas works best. Don't use the kind for dogs though thats just too much. But that medicine keeps away fleas and other parasites and it should keep away ick too cause thats a parasite, so wash the fish in flea meds monthly. If they do get ich put them in a very hot saltwater tank that the ick will fall right off. don't worry about salt water fish if you put a frewshwater ick fish in there, the saltwater fish live in salt so they can't get ich.

Ohh, I didn't know I could put freshwater fish in saltwater. That's so cool, I'm going to get a nemo for my tank. I mean, if freshwater fish can go in saltwater then a nemo will be fine with my oscar. :thm:

You guys are the best!

But I thought the rule was 1 fish per gallon. Is it ok to go over that rule? I don't want my fish to be overcrowded.

just take the rocks out so they have more room

I"m sure they'd be ok. They are schooling fish so many of them is a good thing

Like I said the more the merrier. Plus I usually try to buy twice as many fish as I really need that way when half of them die the next day (like they always do) I won't have to go back to the store right away to get more.

Ok, just to clarify for anyone who has no idea what were talking about, this is all sarcasm, go to the actual Freshwater or saltwater sections fo real info.

Sometimes.....SOMETIMES!!!...see that's part of your problem, right there. You should always use bleach.

See what you did Ice, you should have started the game yesterday.

We are all losing it.

Yea Ice, i think 2h is getting impatient. I thought that was my job :D

Hmm, doesn't sound reliable. You should ask the guy at the local store, they are always right.
