I don't think I can talk like that. My daughter gets a kick out of my texts as I spell everything out and use punctuation.
I spell out most things and use punctuation as well. Certain words will be abbreviated, but with a full keyboard on the phone there really is no excuse not to use it.
Keyboard on my phone is in mint condition I don't text.

I just ignore the letter speak, unless it's abbreviations for fish related stuff, or things like omg or lol. Those I'm guilty of using.
If my girlfriend texts me with text speak, I ignore her. She's trained pretty well now.
With the variety of ages on this forum, you would think that text speak would NOT be used in a mafia game. It would be to easy for it to be misinterpreted.

I never text. IMO, a phone is well, a phone. It takes what, 1/2 an hour to text a 3 min phone conversation?

I pretty much only text. I usually use less than 100 minutes a month. I have this weird phobia of talking on the phone. The only people I talk, on the phone, are my family and my boyfriend. I don't order pizza, I don't make dr. appointments. I will only talk of the phone if I absolutely HAVE to.
