Mafia 86: The Wolfman Game Thread

Games with this few players need to have it so nightfall occurs when someone gets the majority of the vote, rather than at a specific time. As much as I am not a huge fan of the format at the very least it stretches the game out. The biggest issue was that it was very possible for the scum to win within only a couple nightfalls. I don't know about anyone else but that certainly doesn't make for a very fun game no matter what side I am on...and it wasn't a product of the game design itself, more so a lack of players. If people are still going to hold out then we need to adapt the formats to fit the lower number of participants. Quick games like these wont catch much interest.

It's not fair to those taking the time to play for the mod to dip out on them. Maybe there should be a minimum maturity level for those who can sign up to mod.

I don't think maturity was the problem. I don't know why UN decide not to show up for night fall but I doubt he was curled up in the fetal position somewhere because he thought he messed up.

But I do want to play mafia, badly (got the shakes) but not at the level its being played right now.
The game couldn't have been that much fun because it wasn't even fun to read.


I agree with Jpap, if you have less then 10 players you either need to play till majority vote is on 1 person (10 players= 6 votes on 1 person) or a gunslinger game or a game where 1 certain persons death ends the game.

We are never going to be able to make everyone 100% happy. IMO what needs to be done is respect developed. If you wouldn't say it to a teacher/boss/professor then don't say it here. If you don't like the way a game is going or don't like a person, keep it to yourself or at least out of the public eye. 1. it's just plain hurtful and 2. it makes you look like a tool. You don't have to like people, but everyone deserves respect.

Don't like the game? Then don't play it
Don't like the mod? Then don't play the game
Don't like the majority of the players? Then don't play the game.

The constant "this is why mafia sucks" "this is why I don't play anymore" comments get old. You say immaturity ruined the game for you and you are upset that a few players ruined it? well guess what, after these comments, you are no better. You are doing the same thing that "immaturity" did for you. Ruining the game for someone. No one on this forum is better than anyone else.

This didn't intend to start as a rant, but it kinda ended up as one and I apologize, they are just my thoughts.

I think that it would be better if we had to vote in future mods, as I've done all of those (Haven't uded for 4-5 games) and sucked at modding. It's really all about whether the mod is ready for it or not.
