in game in which you want everyone to assume your innocent, and in this case largely noncommunicating, why would you classify yourself as being in a group? I find his use of "we" note worthy. Is it substantial evidence to vote someone during the latter part of the game? No, not at all. But in the context of day 1 I find it to be possibly important.

The problem I have with this is I don't see how it references the two being communicating at all. The reference has to do with what someone else already said. I guess my interpretation in regards to the semantics differ from yours...

What I think is if Nem had been talking to more than 2 players the word "we" could have been used to reference all the players as a whole, but the fact that there were only 2 told to hush and Narwhal lumps them together as a group by using the term "we" makes it stand out to me.

Had I been Narwhal, I personally would have phrased it that they told "me" or "I" to stop posting.

Not really... there are some other things that stuck out to me, but I have to go back and read more thoroughly to make any sense of it. Like I said before, the spanish is interesting, but in no way a scum tell in and of itself. I'll put my vote in well before nightfall.

Note: When referring to someone, I will say he. This is not because I know who they are, and please don't be offended if you are female, it's just easier than he/she/it/they/etc.

The only thing so far that really stands out to me is xx_nemesis_xx and his/her/its request that we stop posting. Who would gain from silence? Surely not the town. Her/His/Its recent posts appear to be genuine. Perhaps It/He/She just had a headache from the medications?

Read posts 13-21. It was just complete babbling. Non-game subjects are fine, but that was crap. And FYI, I was having a headache in real life.

I have played 3 games a while ago, and from what I recall every game started with the lynch of a friendly player, it might have been 2 friendlies and 1 bad guy. It was truly out of curiosity, I will not be playing the noob card that I assure you.

See, the bolded part is not necessary. Some people are trying to say I AM SO-AND-SO (not just maelstrom) and that defeats the purpose of the game. We don't want to know who everyoen is. If we wanted to, it could have been a regular game.

When I was a scum one of the tactics we used was to try and turn something small into something bigger to draw attention to an innocent. Like I said on day 1 I find it difficult to tell the difference between people trying to weed out scum from what we have to go with and scum trying to draw attention to other players. But this seems like a little bit of a stretch to me. In post 22 nemesis told 2 players to be quiet, then a few pages later narwhal brings it up as scummy. IDK how I feeel about this.

That's a good point. But see here, now you're being kind of scummy trying to turn their reaction in to something scummy so yeah...

I don't really see anyone as very scummy so I vote to lynch [AC] Maelstrom for trying to make a reference to who they were, therefore defeating the purpose of the game, and therefore not being pro-town. I will most likely be back by nightfall.

UhOh is posting just enough to seem active, and only comments when others get something going on people. In reverse chrono order, because its easier that way.

not sure what to make of the narwhal nem interaction. could be team mates being told not to slip up followed by distancing, could be someone that was affraid of their real id being guessed.

starting to see some things worth taking note of.

Yes, I will admit that the wood/would thing could be worth watching. So could bringing it up. Is bringing it up vote worthy? I don't know at this early stage of the game.

You act as if you know that TH is playing. Is he playing and in your scum den? Was your post to him a warning so he doesn't slip? I think this bears watching as well.

I have reread the thread a few times and don't see much. Some day 1 gibberish, let's talk about pizza but not toppings.

About all that stands out is Scoop seems to be directing attention to wingnut and narwhal is directing attention to nemessis.

C-note seemed to dislike the spanish posts.

What one needs to consider/wonder are motives. Why would Scoop and Narwhal want to direct attention as they appear to be doing?

Are they scum trying to set up some innocents for lynching?

Are they innocents eager to try to find scum?

I seriously doubt that the scum would reveal themselves so early in the game by telling us to not post when from what I read it was in referrence to guessing who had what alias.(which can do us no good spending time trying to guess who is who when we need to look for scummy behavior)

I also doubt that scum would be so blatant as to mispell would twice in one sentance as Scoop has pointed out. What purpose would that serve?

I was thinking that it is a good thing that Mad gave us the option of voting no one or voting ourselves to avoid ud as I could not think of where my vote should fall. We do have a history of lynching innocents on day 1.

However, after reading today's posts, I do believe that my vote will most likely fall on Narwhal or Scoop.

Why can you make assumptions on something and then turn around and call out someone on possibly doing the same thing.


As of right now Narwhal or Tiburon are who I'm leaning to vote for.

So you find Narwhal's avatar to be manly or even gender neutral? I do look a lot at avatar and sig selection as I think it reveals something about the person choosing it. Wing Nut decided not to change their avatar whereas Narwhal did change theirs (yes, I did take mental note of the avatars in the pre-game testing from Mad and I tend to pick up on changes; I am assuming you are male since you went with a Star Wars character instead of the girl blinking, but I could be wrong). The assumption (and yes, that is all it is) from the change in Narwhal's avatar was that Narwhal is female. Wing Nut did not change theirs so they either liked it or are not someone to care about things such as avatars, hence giving no indication of gender.

So why are you leaning towards voting me? Is it because I was one of the first ones to start questioning people? It may have been mixed in with banter, but the questions are still legit.
