Mafia 88: Insane Asylum (Game Thread)

I never wanted to have to do this, but in lieu of recent events I feel that I need to make a role claim to ensure that nobody else trys to fake my role.

I am an innocent townie

Frack it, I have to go and may not make it back before nightfall. I am the Tracker...

N1: Tracked Old3toes, no movement
N2: Tracked Tiburon, no movement
N3: ROLE BLOCKED....

I would like to suggest everyone find another lynchee. If the Doctor believes me, protection would be nice.

Also, just a personal note, Tracker is kind of a useless PR in this format.
Is anyone going to challenge this RC?

If Rickets is the tracker, it would make sense as to why they said the det should/might want to come out if they'd investigated scum (can't remember the exact term used). They would know the role block had already been used so the doc could then protect the det. They couldn't have come out and say they knew the block had already been used as that would have exposed them as a townie PR.

If Rickets is scum, this could be a brilliant move to get votes off of them. They would know if the block had been used or not, so they wouldn't risk exposing themselves to townie PRs, except for whoever was the real tracker.

Right now I'm tempted to pull my vote off Rickets as what I've explained above has me thinking Rickets is really the tracker.

Also, I am concerned that Driver will be yet another UD.

ummm were we role blocked last night? Excuse me if I missed it, but I don't remember that. I'll have to reread, but it looks like your full of :bs:
It is noted no where in the rules that we will be told whether the block has been used. I looked. It makes sense to use it night 3 strategy wise.

if Driver UD's, I really won't care. Hate to say that, but I'd rather have him UD then not participate....
They have participated, but they have not built a case on someone. That is why they are in my top scum list. Total scum tactic to look like you're working by posting stuff that looks good but doesn't incriminate any of your teammates or make you take too drastic of a stand and draw attention to yourself.

UhOh gives me an uneasy feeling. Sorry to put that in vague terms, I've been trying to think of a better way of saying this without coming out and calling them scum. Truth is, I don't see anything innocent about UhOh at all anymore.

On Day 1, UhOh said it was "a good thing" Mad lets us vote nobody "to avoid UDs." The reason they gave was we have a history of lynching innocents the 1st day. I disagreed and cautioned that it was bad advice for the town. Other players made similar comments. I think WingNut told us it's usually scum who suggests it.

(Going by memory there. I haven't gone back to check if that was WingNut. Anyway, if it wasn't the point still stands and I believe it's a true statement.)

The irony now is how strongly UhOh has lead the charge recently to "scummify" anyone who votes no one just a couple of days later after they were the 1st to suggest it. Seems UhOh has failed to see the flaw in applying this logic, however. Perfect example, Gold Leader voted for no one but Gold was not mafia.

I vote to lynch UhOh.

Overall....... I think UhOh has been trying to set us up and they are quick to pounce on someone for just about anything. They singled out Doom and Rickets rather exclusively on Day 1 and (if I remember correctly) had almost nothing to say about Hammer as probable scum. Their Day 1 vote was on Doom (innocent) and they stayed with the same vote for Day 2. Then UhOh started pulling posts like crazy which made them appear pro-town. Still after flooding the thread with all those quote posts that most folks are going to just skim over anyway, I didn't see them actually reach many conclusions about it all. (BTW if they did and I've missed it, please point it out for me.) Now after all that, UhOh reverts back to Rickets again as they had been doing the first day before all that "digging" even started. I don't know whether Rickets is scum or town and that isn't the point anyway. We did find out that Doom was innocent. While it's possible that UhOh could just have been wrong, I can't help but feel that UhOh is evil.......and just keeps stirring things up for everyone.

I doubt I'll get a chance to change my vote so this is probably where it will stay. I have to leave early for work in the morning and nightfall will probably be over with before I get home.

Chup, I believe you are referring to this post...

I would like UhOh to respond before posting my interpretation of their post. But I thought it would be good to at least pull the post for everyone else's reference.

Last night Chup posted to show how I was scummy. Nice try.

Yes, I think it was late the first RL day or early the next morning when I made that post. First let me point out I had never played a game that allowed to vote no one. So thinking from my stand point of not having a read on any one yet as it was all banter. I thought it would be a good idea for me since I knew I would not get back before nightfall.

Shortly after that Rickets started with that in your face attitude of answering questions with smart remarks and not giving any real answers. I started to see something worth voting for.

Then when others started voting no one I saw how it really messed up being able to find info. I was not the only one getting upset about the no one votes.

scoop (1) - RICK 786, wing 852
Driver (1) - O3T 856
Tree (1) - nar 882
No Lynch (1) - BH 874, mael 914

Tib, why would it make sense to use Night 3? They knew that their role blocker was safe (ensuring that they could use the ability latter) seeing as how an innocent had the lead at nightfall, and the vig was killed N2. Why not wait to use it, they could've saved it for when they thought they were in legitamate danger. (Had the role blocker up for lynch so they had to get it off, or maybe they could've used it when the tracker/detective RC'd with info about possible scum.

I'm warning all the PR's out there to not RC, unless it is absolutely neccesary, as they still have 4 scum left.

The post was getting long so I will respond to the blue part here. (for the sake of the skimmers).

Okay initially I had snuck on while at work and posted observations. I think I even stated that in my post I don't recall exactly. No observations are not conclusions they are just that observations and thoughts.

When I started digging and pulling posts, I did include what I thought and the conclusions I came up with. If you read my posts you would see that.
