Mafia 9: The Bloody Coup

Here's the thing...let's say the citizens lynch incorrectly on night one, and score gets to 8 citizens vs. 10 rebels. Is there anything in the rules to prevent the rebels from identifying themselves to each other in the thread? Assuming that they do that (while they have a numbers advantage), they can then just run the table on the citizens.

I didn't post a rule because I figured it would be a common courtesy thing and they wouldn't do it. That and they wouldn't want to give away their roles. There is still a Hit out there and a possible botched hit, not to mention the bodyguard protection. So IMO it wouldn't be smart till it got closer to the end of the game.

But to ease minds

Rebel factions may not tell other rebels factions that they are rebels, either by PM or on the thread.

Wouldn't it be wise for the Rebels to stop a train on her to ensure two CCs went away....???

And why would they stop a train RB...because here is the scenario...

1. the rebels hit a CC
2. the cc accidentally lynch a CC
3. a CC dies an untimely death..

or
1. the rebels hit a CC
2. the CC lynch a Rebel
3. a CC dies an untimely death...

or
1. the rebels hit a CC
2. the CC lynch the only person who hasnt posted at all, and they are safe from lynching a person who has posted the whole time

or
1. the rebels hit a CC
2. the CC accidentally lynch a CC

so it could be one of four...regardless, in past games we have always lynched one of our Inncocents by shear random vote...there are also other scenarios that can be done....more than likely they would go with scenario number 1...because it has happened to us in the past...we lost too many Innocents, and that is when the bad people became in charge....

and us CC would rather have her post and us lynching a rebel by pure chance and the rebels taking out one of the opposite...and then that would leave us 10 to their 8,,,now that is better for me IMHO...I dont know what others think, but that is what I think...

your first scenario shows why they would try to stop a train, if she was a CC

OR...

1. one rebel faction hits another.
2. CC lynch another rebel.

Why post doom and gloom instead of looking at everyone and the best possible outcomes? Unless the your posted scenarios would be "good" outcomes for you...

OK - I just got back on, and re-read the accusations. A very simple explanation - as I was posting, I didnt realise that other posts had been made before mine, including Sandy's accusation. I hit send, then went and spoke to my mother and had some dinner. Voila - I now stand accused of being a Rebel. I am not.

The reason I prefer to stay visible is that I have other friends on this forum, some of whom find me and chat. Because I enjoy this interaction, I like having my name visible. I also tend to open multiple windows for different threads, and sometimes forget to close them. I am not switching between visible and invisible for that reason. I am visible at all times - I have nothing to hide.

Come on Sandy - your reasoning is very weak indeed. I didnt defend myself merely because I didnt see your post until just now. I have seen it, and have I defended myself adequately? If not, just let me know :D

Wow, I guess the invisible thing has caught on huh? Yet no one's posting.

Um... so you're saying that you're not invisible? That was a quick change if so based on our post times... just sayin...
