Mafia 92: Night of the living Mafia... the play

Might end up calling it a night. Here's where I stand at this point...

Cnote- the jump on Tank's vote and subsequent discussion still bothers me as well as the apparent absence. 24 hours is an awful long time without a post and it is hard not to find it convenient that they were on the chopping block as well.

2H- the vote on Nood's initially caught my eye and I still do not understand why 2H would suggest that they voted for someone other than their top suspect, especially when the vote on Noods was a self claimed gut feel vote on a loner

DD- see previous posts. No need to rehash what has just been said...

Jm- Idk, some of his logic on D1 seemed off but I chalked it up to him just being rusty from not playing for a while. But earlier today he seemed too eager to take advantage of any opportunity to throw in scenarios where Nood's is not innocent.

Tank- although I find Cnote's reaction to their vote more suspicious I still do not see much logic in Tank's posts, especially when they called out DDay for not posting much content. Way too hypocritical for my liking, not to mentioned the prolonged absence is unnerving.



I hesitate to call this a suspect list this early in the game but I would probably choose a vote from this pool of players if I were forced to...

You keep saying I had a top suspect, I keep saying I HAD NOTHING. Now you have others believing you. Would you care to show me where I mentioned this top suspect.
All I ever said was a had a few places I could have voted, none of them did I consider vote worthy.

JP, I do agree with some of your points on the concerns you have. I voted CN yesterday and had some concern that it would bite me on the butt as a lone vote. However, CN was my best suspect.

Therefore 2h not voting his best suspect did catch my eye.

To be honest I didn't notice Tanks posts.

As for JM I think he is rusty, don't know of his allegiance but DD and CN are my best suspects and if I am right on them, and the game is still going I think I would rather have JM as the last remaining scum than someone like Ice.

Just wish we knew how many we are facing.

Care to show me where i have an alliance with DD or CN? Sure, DD said that she can "see what i am saying" but i'm not sure where the whole CN thing is coming from.

And now for Kash...

It would have been the game right before the beginning of school...would have ended late August. We're on 92 now, and I know that you guys have been plating them much less frequently now then you were before i left the game for a while...im thinking game 77.

Seriously, JM........ Surely you and I have played past games where I was on the mafia team before. Didn't I do a much better job being evil than THAT? If your claim were true, my brilliant mafia strategy would easily be unraveled completely merely by you or someone else pointing out that the 2 posts were reversed.

Looking back at the mix up and the actual question asked along with your weird, defensive, accusatory, over-reaction..... It still reads the same to me both ways.

Now, isn't it more accurate to say that you pulled your little hissy fit for two reasons:

(1) To make sure everyone noticed that Kashta screwed up the order, which means I was sloppy, and that suggests I must be scum... right?

And, (2) to also suggest that the big bad meanie, Kashta, deliberately tried (somehow) to set you up. Oh, you poor hapless innocent townie!

The last game I remember playing with you.... I pegged you as evil when I was innocent. And you were shocked that you hadn't fooled me. You posted after that game you were so sure you'd fooled everyone.

You wouldn't be feeling a tad....... ahem... intimidated, would you.... remembering that game too?

Just maybe, you DO have something to hide and you're wondering how well I can read you as scum. But you really needed worry too much, JM. Your team could always hit me whenever you want. Then I'd be gone and you could feel "safe" again.

Personally, Kash, I have found that "look how different I am playing right now compared to the last time we were on the scum team together" statements are nearly always scum tells. Numerous games where such words have been said were done directly by mafia, and many didnt believe me when I said it was strange until...wow, they were actually mafia! Plus, you used this 'different' playing style as an excuse to get me off your back about messing up that post that did make my look bad. And now you're using it again to show that you MUST not be scum because your style is different? Don't think so, Kash.

Quite honestly, I don't really remember that game. Its been a while and other important things have come and gone through my memory.

The way JM has targeted me so many times to characterize me as scum, I feel I have a stronger case against him than DD (who's also tried doing the same thing) or Ice. So that is where I'm going to leave my vote this morning.

I will do the best I can to sneak onto the thread briefly during the work day... just to see what's going on. Never know what new developments may come to light.

My suspects are duly stated and my reasons provided. If I manage to get back on in time before nightfall tonight and a vote switch is needed to break a tie or whatever, I'll feel comfortable switching my vote to either DD or Ice at this point.

Sorry, but I just can't see how people in a game like this, especially vets like you or Pappy or Rich, could just totally dismiss someone as innocent because they decided to switch over to a scum player at the last second. anything is possible in this game, especially when a scum member is clearly going to be lynched on day 1, and if not, on day 2.

Rich I think you are reading into Pap's posts. I didn't have a LIKELY SCUM. I had a small list of what I called "secondary players". I chose Noodles from that group.

I do have to fight not to sat Al. I miss read your post then, I read it as I have a scum but since I am likely wrong I will vote off that way I don't lynch someone accidentally.

So unlike day one today I do have very vote worthy list.

I'll start with CN. I think Dawg brought up the two scum up for the lynch theory. If you think about it that's really the only thing that makes sense. Only other senerio would be that none of the scum were around before nightfall. With this many players, that seems unlikely.

Next I'll list JM. Already posted that I didn't like his train of thought. It was a bold move for Noodles to move her vote and one that would have surely gotten her votes today if she was wrong. Like she said I truely believe if she were mafia she would have sat and done nothing.
Even if you really think she is snowing us, why can't you at least give her a day two bye?
Keeping townee's questioning her is scummy.

Next I'll list Ice. Not exactly crazy about his game play so far, and when you add to that Mad's vote was on him, and Mad was hit.....hmmmm. I know that could be a setup, but I'm thinking there's a good chance Ice approved that hit.

right now, that's the best case i can see, especially with that huge post she had. if anything, she did in a few minutes what she accused me of doing over a day or so. i'll see when i can get back.

I have been looking at posts to see what I can come up with and this struck me as odd

After going back through the thread there are a few issues that concern me.

I wish JB weren't so secretive about how many scum we are facing since the number of players involved in what concerns me is pretty high for them all to be scum.

My first concern is that JB clarified the zombie allegiance issue, yet, we still have players discussing if or how zombies should use there hit clear up to almost this evening pacific time. They are also discussing who would or wouldn't want the zombies to use their hit and why.

At this point in the game all that discussion does is muddy the water and distract from hunting scum.

Personally, I think that at least one maybe two scum keep popping in on that subject for that very reason. The question is who. It does appear that Mad has been very involved in that discussion but, reading through his posts I cannot state that his involvement was for the purpose of distraction. Some of his posts in that discussion were in answer to questions or pointing out contradictions in other player's posts.

I would be more concerned with the players that have been either popping in to ask a question after it appears that subject has died down (and I need to go back through and check the timing of those posts before I can get a good feel of it) or contradicting himself in his own post.

Wiz, twice you mention that you wish you knew or wish JB was not so secretive, about how many scum there are. Now, I know I have not played many games lately but I have never played a game where the mod told townies how many scum there are. (ok- maybe the 50/50 games) Is there a reason you feel the need to let us know that you do not know the number of mafia members?

Now, I know I have not played many games lately but I have never played a game where the mod told townies how many scum there are. (ok- maybe the 50/50 games) Is there a reason you feel the need to let us know that you do not know the number of mafia members?

Jb can't tell us the team sizes. If he did then the Zombies would know when their hit would end the game in their favor.
