What's easier to find...a talkative mafia or one that hardly posts? It's hard for anyone to "slip up" when they don't say anything...
I think that generally the mafia have an easier time when discussion is low. There are certainly exceptions but IMO talking only serves to benefit the town, problem is that it has to be the right kind of talk.

I understand what you're saying. But when it gets so crazy and hectic like it often does, there are so many 'shady' posts that it's nearly impossible to pick out scum from the rest. Yes, more experienced mafia players will do a better job at staying low, but it's likely there is a new player on the scum team and they are more likely to post a lot and slip up. I just think it's funny that plantling wants a lot of commotion.
AAF is the only player who is remotely new...I'm not great at probabilities but I would hardly say that is is "likely" that they are scum.
Discussion =/= commotion.
If you don't want people to talk, should I assume that you want everyone to then be quiet?
I think that Plant pushing the "get everyone to talk" angle this early in the game is odd...we're 24 hrs in and it takes time for the game to take off...but the point(s) you're trying to make aren't making much sense either.

Pir who else on this list (other than AAF) haven't you played with? The only one that I could think of would be Plant, but did you not get the hint that she has played before?
Conversation is a good thing. You get people talking even about nothing, things come out. I know I was nailed by 2H once for inane banter that revealed I was on the scum team.

Plant, is there any reason you keep bringing up the idea of discussion, low posting, etc.? I don't disagree that it is good for us to talk, but it seems over the top you would mention it in so many of your posts this early. Just a common theme, I guess, that I keep reading in your posts...
I'm not going to answer for 2H but it is odd to me that you would even need to remind or ask anyone to post more, especially to that extent, when we have barely started the game. I know you haven't been around lately but pretty sure everyone here knows that (with the exception of Pir it seems) posting is good.
