That, to me, is telling...how can you make a statement like "it's likely there is a new player on the scum team and they are more likely to post a lot and slip up" and THEN say "I haven't been around for a while, thought there might be some new players" without even going over the player list in the first place? Is it because you're just looking to lynch the people whose names aren't in your scum den?

How can you play a mafia game without knowing who's playing? Unless of course you know all you need to know, and that is who is evil and that everyone else is innocent.

Plant, is there any reason you keep bringing up the idea of discussion, low posting, etc.? I don't disagree that it is good for us to talk, but it seems over the top you would mention it in so many of your posts this early. Just a common theme, I guess, that I keep reading in your posts...

I'm not going to answer for 2H but it is odd to me that you would even need to remind or ask anyone to post more, especially to that extent, when we have barely started the game. I know you haven't been around lately but pretty sure everyone here knows that (with the exception of Pir it seems) posting is good.

I don't think posting is bad. I just think that when it gets to the point where people are posting so much that scum can hide in all the posts, that's when it's bad.

To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what your point is...you somehow took what Plant said and thought she wanted to create a commotion. That is certainly not what MY point is...

That was just my general mood last night. Watch all you want, I'd be worried if you didn't think I warranted watching.

I disagree here. If there is at least one vet on the scum team, they would know better than to overplay and they could easily keep a noob in line. While I agree 24 hours is almost always better for the scum, I'm not so sure that 48 hours wouldn't be the same... Just my opinion.

DD's coment was a throw back to this past game when Lab called her out for "picking on a noob" DD turned out to be scum while AAF was innocent. That was why I put the LOL smiley. What I found odd was that I saw it as so obviously a joke, and Lab missed it... Not like Labby IMO.

I disagree with your disagreement. As Chill later pointed out, keeping some noobs in line is very similar to herding cats. Some noobs are much easier to work with than others. AAF reminds me of a FF jr.

As to the second part, I didn't even associate what DD said with the last game, hence I totally missed the joke. In fact, I had to read what you wrote here a couple of times before it dawned on me what you were talking about.

I disagree. I think it's easier for scum to hide when there is lots of commotion going on. If there is a little slip up by scum while there is a lot going on, it's dismissed easier because of all the other little slip-ups by everyone else. The fact that you want more commotion seems scummy to me.

I again disagree with this disagreement. It's so much easier for scum to hide when there is little going on. Little slip ups when lots is going on can be very helpful later in the game.

At this point in the game I think AAF is just a bit excited and trigger happy. I didn't follow last game all that closely and must have missed/forgot the part about Lab picking on DD for going after a newb. Sarcasm gets lost easily in these games so I could see where the confusion on both ends would come from...what I don't get is Lab calling out Razz for "adding to the confusion" could you expand on that Lab?

That part was a joke Pappy. He said I was confusing people and the way he worded it was funny to me so I jokingly noted that he was adding to the confusion.

I understand what you're saying. But when it gets so crazy and hectic like it often does, there are so many 'shady' posts that it's nearly impossible to pick out scum from the rest. Yes, more experienced mafia players will do a better job at staying low, but it's likely there is a new player on the scum team and they are more likely to post a lot and slip up. I just think it's funny that plantling wants a lot of commotion.

So who do you consider "new" players Pir? Yourself? This game has a lot of experienced players in it.

This I wonder as well. I'd expect scum to blow over the player list, but that is not a very townie like thing to do.

i think scum is trying to stall the game by continueously disagree on the lower or higher post counts. ill have to get on my laptop to actually see whos continuesly doing it but i can do that until im back from the mall (school shopping).
