Pir, that make no sense at all. I can't even imagine not looking at the player list before starting the game.... That is one of the most important parts of the game! Besides the rules of course.
Says the guy adding to the confusion...
I point out things as I see them. DD said she was trying to be serious, then called me on being serious when I responded to her question (which I would have taken as a joke had she not said she was trying to be serious).
Just note taking error. Since not using my laptop, I'm literally taking notes with pen and paper. Thanks for pointing out my error, makes me feel like you are paying attention. However if I had a teammate that hadn't posted, I'd definitely not mention others who haven't posted, thereby drawing attention to the nonposters. Do you have a problem with me asking ppl to post more?
More later if I manage to get another break at work.
Ok, so I think it is safe to assume that there are only 3 gingers at this point with the possibility of more being added later.
Not sure what makes that safe to assume. With the hitman getting two hits I'd say there is a good chance that there is a forth ginger without a role.
Not to be mean but IMO, this "tactic" would be stoopid as it would draw added and unnecessary attention to a teammate. IME evils don't like drawing attention to themselves. There is always talk of the evils throwing a teammate under the bus to save themselves but I've never actually seen this. Only when all hope is lost do evils give up one of their own. You've played here before obviously, have you really never seen this tactic used?
The roles of Groundskeeper Willie and the Blackmailer were nixed from the sign up thread, but I don't recall games where the total number of evil were known from the beginning. But with just 15 players 3 with a chance of 4 sounds like plenty, but then there are also 3 townie PR's...According to the rules there should only be 3 gingers at this point, unless Jb decided to double up on a role (highly unlikely) or just give one person the role of "ginger" from the start. Could you clarify that GingerJbBala?
Umm, if you read my entire post I clarified that the postings should be non "fluff". So nope, never asked for commotion, though sometimes we can learn even from commotion, which is better than no commotion at all.I disagree. I think it's easier for scum to hide when there is lots of commotion going on. If there is a little slip up by scum while there is a lot going on, it's dismissed easier because of all the other little slip-ups by everyone else. The fact that you want more commotion seems scummy to me.
It's never too early to start looking for scum to eliminate. Or do you like "pocket mafia"? Voting should be picking up as well as discussions of votes as tomorrow nite is the end of day one. I don't like voting haphazardly without seeing ppl's posts. Day one doesn't have to always be a crap shoot.AAF is the only player who is remotely new...I'm not great at probabilities but I would hardly say that is is "likely" that they are scum.
Discussion =/= commotion.
If you don't want people to talk, should I assume that you want everyone to then be quiet?
I think that Plant pushing the "get everyone to talk" angle this early in the game is odd...we're 24 hrs in and it takes time for the game to take off...but the point(s) you're trying to make aren't making much sense either.
See above. Also I'm a mom to two little boys, so I nag, and nag, and nag, and I'm lucky if they listen to me the third time. "Don't say I didn't tell you so, young man!" "I'm not talking just to hear myself talk, you know!"Plant, is there any reason you keep bringing up the idea of discussion, low posting, etc.? I don't disagree that it is good for us to talk, but it seems over the top you would mention it in so many of your posts this early. Just a common theme, I guess, that I keep reading in your posts...
I'm not going to answer for 2H but it is odd to me that you would even need to remind or ask anyone to post more, especially to that extent, when we have barely started the game. I know you haven't been around lately but pretty sure everyone here knows that (with the exception of Pir it seems) posting is good.
It seems as if you want to appear overly helpful from the start...
I agree with this disagreement. As the game progresses much from earlier comes to light as the evils are hemmed in.I again disagree with this disagreement. It's so much easier for scum to hide when there is little going on. Little slip ups when lots is going on can be very helpful later in the game.
I'm not perfect? With all the posts you made about it, I am just surprised you missed him.
So who else in this group do you think isn't paying attention?
Really, is that what you think my post was about?

go// LOL, pocket mafia. Thought about Ogre, Ice, and Mad when I put my iphone in my pocket after posting on Mafia the other day. //go

I'm not perfect?
Let me rephrase that: I feel a little bit better about YOU bc you are paying attention. Mafia don't need to pay close attention,... usually. Doesn't mean I trust you as at this point I suspect everyone.
I disagree with your statement that I was pointing fingers at low posters and gliders. I never said all low posters were evil, rather that little posting by townspeople gives the evils a chance to hide among us. It allows them to glide thru the game without making any waves. Without a good candidate to vote for, I usually vote for those who have added little to the game besides noncommittal and "fluff" posts. Sometimes ppl start perking up when they see their names bolded.
Labby disagrees with Raz's diagreement and Plant agrees with Labby's disagreement of Raz's disagreement. Pir's off to the races and betting on horses but hasn't look at the program. Chill thinks he'll have a scotch and wonders if Dawg and Wiz are going to join him?
