Mafia 94: When Gingers Attack; the play

Guess you missed the sarcasm in my post. I though the wink might clue people in. I'm not concerned about being on Plant's list. I'm concerned about how she is coming up with her list. What do you think of the "low post = scum" theory? I think I just proved why it doesn't work.

First off, I don't buy the theory usually. But it's proven useful in the past to get people out of hiding. Second, you didn't prove anything.

Why are you guys concerned so much about being on plants list? there are plenty of other lists out there you can be on. Are you guys trying to name drop her as much as possible trying to discredit her? is she on to something?

I am not on the list. I just find it to be a bad idea that I have never seen come out right. I have been on plenty of other lists though, you learn to live with it. I have been on the Mrs. list for 20 years now.

I hope this is good, I don't think trying to get into the mods head is generally productive. Usually it just ends up being a huge distraction because we can never really know anyway.

I'm not asking people to speculate on this as it's pretty much a fruitless quest. I'm not asking if people think roles were random and I'm not asking people to speculate who they might have been asigned to. It's a waste of time trying to get into the mod's head I'm asking a very speciifc question addressed to Plant. Why did she feel the roles might have been determined "not so randomly"?

Vote Count:

Pir (1): Labby
Chill (1): Kash
Dawg (1): Plant
AAF (1): Rich

As always, let me know if I've missed anything.

WOW..do I have some catching up to do!!! I will be answering and questioning as I go so not to have a HUGE three page post LOL!

Don't mind at all that you disagree. I would rather see a more convincing basis for your position, though.

Speaking from experience I can tell you.... I have been the most experienced vet on a team before with mostly new players as teammates. Much as I've tried, it's just not possible for vets to "easily keep a noob in line." Not at all.

Examples: Much as I tried, I could not prevent FF from getting himself lynched over the attention he drew upon himself. I was also unable to prevent Haydn from posting a fake role claim. In both cases, the damage was already done (posted in the game thread) before anyone could stop them.

In the end, each person really does play their own game even when provided buckets full of terrific advice. ;)

Having never been the most experienced player on the scum team, I can see where you are coming from. My first game as scum, I knew to listen to the vet above my own head and I expect many others did the same. But yeah, FF and Haydn would be hard to keep under control.

I see what you're getting at, Razzle. But have you considered who you're directing this question to?

Honestly, it doesn't surprise me that Pir would make goofy statements without bothering to look at the list of players. I'm not sure Pir really gets how this game works most of the time.

Whenever I'm in game, you can be sure I've checked out who else is in the game. I imagine that's true for many others, too. I just don't find it difficult to believe that Pir would actually say some of the things he did and still be clueless about the players listed. That seems fairly consistent with his approach to the game.

Regardless of play style, the first thing anyone should do is review the rules and see who's playing.

Not paying attention is just sloppy/lazy gameplay regardless on which side someone is on. That's more of an individual characteristic than it is role-based.

Um... someone else?

Who exactly was it who said that, Razz? Did you even remember who it was when you made this post? And do you consider them to be a sharp enough player that you would accept their comment and repeat it for us as though it were worthwhile advice?

I did not remember when I made the post or I would've put their name in. I think it might have been Lab but don't quote me on that. I tried to go back but I couldn't find it.

Who Posted?

Just enough time for one post before I go. Yes, I'm gonna comment on posts again. Some players have less posts than the mod! I would understand if the posts were helpful or somewhat game related if one was truly busy but cough *Dawg's* is almost all *fluff*. So true to my word, I vote to genetically test Dawg.

Subject to change if I actually see you kicking doors or posting helpful game related posts.

DD, do you have any comments or opinions other than about Lab?

2H, saw some thought from you and seems to me scum would know how many townie pr's there are, but then again, would they? Would also like to hear more from you.

And Pir, do you normally play without checking the player list? Also how did you get that I wanted "commotion" from my posts? Seems like you took one part of my post and ran with it and totally missed the point. Scum have been known to twist ppl's posts.

I totally disagree with you Plant. My posts are not ALMOST all fluff. To this point I believe they are all fluff actually. So is this a true theory of yours or is it a convenient way for you to vote for a good player for really no reason? Just wondering. And if you do actually think I'm scum all I have to do is post more to get off your list? Doesn't make sense to me.

Oh...and Plant...Pir has quite a few posts so I'm not quite sure why you are picking on them? You should probably pick on LG next.

This stuck out to me... Why point out LG above anyone else? Why above DD? Or 2H?

LG's mom got robbed, she had to go help out over there.

I realize that but it's not my theory it's Plant's theory.

I highly doubt that plant would think of LG as scum for that...

And then this little conversation seems strange. They aren't clashing but not agreeing.... Distancing? Upping post count?

There...now that should get me off of Plant's list...;)

So your goal was to post a bunch to get off Plants "low posters" list? Did you hopw that by getting out of Plant's "low posters" category, that she would remove her vote from you? Seems pretty scummy IMO.
