Mafia 95 - "Mayor's Mansion" (The Play)

Bartholomew stood by for tonight's hanging with extra lengths of rope on hand. One of the early lead vote-getters was a fiesty female, determined not to go down without a fight and many of the guests felt she may need to be subdued first in order to lynch her. (Hence the extra rope.)

Again, voting was mixed -- each guest confident of their vote. Only problem was they couldn't agree who should be the next to die, thus resulting in another close race. The guests began spreading out the field as night approached.

Earlier that day, Bartholomew replied to the Mayor's inquiry... Were they making any progress yet? He regretted to inform her, "No, not a single mafia member has been killed so far."

In the end, it was UN who was hanged.....

The Mayor's response to Bartholomew at this news later that evening was...

"What!!...... really!?? Good thing so many of them are expendable!"

After miserably failing the attempt in their last hit, the mob wasn't taking any chances another target might sneak away from them! The dirty deed was executed in a relaxed and unusually unguarded moment just after dinner when a mafia member slipped a Tarantula venom sack into the victim's slice of blackberry pie.

No immediate symptoms were noticed and the victim didn't begin to struggle for breath until late at night, after everyone had gone to sleep. No one observed their rapid heart rate, swelling lips, and constricted throat.

However... someone passing outside in the hallway was trained to recognize the sound people make when gasping for air. Grabbing the medical bag they keep quickly accessible at all times, they rushed to the unconscious victim's aid....

Sadly, they were too late save his life.
