Later that night, someone heard a soft knocking at her bedroom door........ tap - tap - tap! Cautious and a little scared, she crept out of bed and stared at it, wondering what to do?
"Who's there?" she asked. No answer.
She opened the door.... just a crack. No one was there.
It was then she spotted a large vase of those incredibly fragrant David Austin English Roses sitting on the floor with a little note........ but it had tipped over, the water spilled onto the carpet. The hallway was clear, no one poised to jump at her or anything. Delighted that someone brought her a lovely gift, she picked up the vase, closed the door, and smiled.
Nothing conclusive could be learned from the note, however. "Hmm, it doesn't say anything except, 'Shhh, I will meet with you very soon!'" This thing is anonymous."
Still wondering who gave her the roses, she went downstairs to the kitchen to refill the vase... careful to make sure no one followed her along the way. With the water running..... she didn't hear a single sound when a menacing figure approached her from behind and slit her throat.
Early the next morning when the kitchen maid opened the fridge, she found a woman's decapitated head looking back at her. The poor maid let out a chilling scream, waking everyone upstairs........
