I fail to see the difference between standing up for, and defending. As this was the crux of your argument against Wiz, the disparity is bothersome.




I'm interested in the two of them for other reasons, but the covert communication thing seems to be a reach. The exchange doesn't seem any more abnormal (other than it's FF and AAF doing the talking ) than any other exchange so far.



JB, this isn't the first time that you've implied that if scum you wouldn't have been so bold as to jump onto Wiz to supposedly break the tie. Should folks consider your move a town-tell then? You have heard of WIFOM.

I'm just saying that this seems to be the whole of 2H's case against me. If he really thinks it's that easy, them maybe we should be considering him a newb too. I have heard of WIFOM. Folks (as always) can and will think what they like. You yourself said the point of the game is for mafia to blend in. I'm just trying to point out what I see as being a major flaw in his "case".

What are you talking about "threat to [me]"? The only threat to me is the scum team and I really have no idea who they are at this point.

JB, I do have to wonder why you chose Wiz when you decided to break the tie at the time.

Both Wiz and 2H have asked you although it has been in a more tongue and cheek fashion that allowed you to skirt around the question.

So why Wiz over UN? I haven't really seen much of a reason so spell it out for me.

I have to say I can not see AAF and FF talking in code. Just not seeing that. Seem like the quoted posts where fairly normal for the pair of them.

I do not see JB coming out and saying "Hay vote for me" like that 2H. (I said 2H and not Al just for you DD). I would like to know why he went with Wiz though.

This post, combined with Wiz's posting was a huge reason I decided to go with him. With all the talk about "signal to noise ratio", it seemed a bit sketchy for Wiz to be putting forth as much aimless banter about football and what not. Then he took Pappy's obvious (to me and seemingly a couple others) joke post and blew it out of proportion (again, in my view). Then the post about being "confident" in his vote pushed him over the top. The only thing I really had on UN (despite how much I'd love to vote him in every game) was a bit of a bad gut feeling about the timing and target of his vote. I really thought he was the better choice at the moment. And as I stated previously, I wasn't comfortable with the tie.

Hindsight being what it is, I wish I had made the other choice. I didn't.

First, let me thank Pat-A-patpatpat for the video. I am not a Letterman fan but that was funny, great way to end a work day.

On to the game, I do agree with Mad that the 24hr communication will work in the town's favor if we are smart about this.

For example, I came into this game planning to watch for signal to noise ratio on D1 and vote in such a way as to eliminate some of the noise. Yet, the SNR has been clean. That is, I know it is early in D1, and we have Thanksgiving tomorrow, but am I the only one to notice little to no posting from FF and AAF?

Just a thought but I think it bears watching.

DD I understand WHY they might panic but nowhere do I see FF and AAF panicking within the thread and trying to communicate...not to mention what do you see that would have brought it up then? The banter you quoted seems like a pretty normal exchange.

the problem I have with "fairly normal exchange" is just that... with the way the game is set up, I guess I am being hyper sensitive to "fairly normal exchanges".... I dunno if it's because I connect them both since they are both what was considered the game noobs or not, if no one else can see it though, maybe I am just being over sensitive to it...

My point is that just because it is a D1 vote doesn't mean it didn't hold any weight at all. If he was going along with the joke then how did that warrant a vote? What I don't get is why when you were asked again about why you voted UN you pointed to a post of his but then said you don't find that same post scummy. JB's vote is completely irrelevant in that situation, but nice attempt to deflect the attention away.

Well, I came in late, voted UN because he had posted before me so I wouldn't UD, not knowing what time nightfall was on the east coast, and did some bad math that made me think nightfall was an hour later then it was. I thought I would have some more time... obviously not, as I figured out when I saw the "It Is Night" post.

What do you think about events not regarding you specifically yesterday? And why did you wait so long to vote?

I waited so long to vote because I was working from 7:30am to 9pm, and thusly had a very limited amount of time to vote. My work is 30min away, so, 9pm + 30 min home +15 min of prepping for bed and completely forgetting that nightfall was that night = 15 min to vote and read. TBH, I was scared crapless that I had already UD'd.

FF, you seem pretty confident about Labby because she says you guys would have plenty of time.... really? That's what you would consider scummy? This looks more to me that you are opting for Labby as scum because she took your ball in the playground... I guess the thing that bothers me most is that you go on and on making excuses as to why you and AAF should be left alone...... do you have any particular reason as to why AAF is so "excused" and why Labby is so scummy? I just think your opinion on each is incredibly strong. I am just having a hard time considering that you find that because Labby said you'd have plenty of time is all you've found on catching up on the thread. It's a poor reason for suspicion on anyone, even for you. Is this the reason why you haven't voted yet?

Not to quibble over details, FF... but if you worked until 9, there's no way you would have made it home for nightfall. Nightfall was just a couple of minutes after 9pm on the east coast.
