Mafia Game 3

I suggest that if you want to vote before you leave, go ahead. Seeing as you are going to be gone and might miss something, vote for whoever you want to vote for right now, and when you come back, re-read everything and keep or change the vote as you will.

Night will begin either Friday night or Saturday Morning, whichever you guys want. If people take really long with their votes, I'll have to pass on the leadership to another person, maybe NeonJulie if she wants it... Not rushing or anything, just saying I'll be gone out west on monday.
 
Oh, and btw, this game really is adding on to the post count, this is post #452 and it's only been 2 nights :D
 
So far we have had 4 innocents slain. Come on townies - stop dithering and see what is in front of you!

I am convinced of the following:

MadCrawdad - has a baseless vendetta against me (of course, I know it is baseless :) ). Despite his urging for everyone to vote for me, others have serious doubts. All he is doing is effectively splitting the vote, and diverting the attention away from himself. If he is mafia (of which I am convinced), he is blowing a smoke screen. If he is innocent, then he is willing to sacrifice an innocent on a very flimsy pretext.

JRR - His own determination to get NJ lynched makes me wonder if she was just getting too close to the truth.

Coler - very smooth - glides in, makes a few pointed comments, and slips out in the ensuing confusion. He is the one wearing the sharp suit, polished shoes and fedora.
 
Crap. The doctor and... mee-mee. The only thing mee-mee did was vote for 13 and then switch to sovran... maybe something there? Wouldn't a better mafia choice be me or Ice or Madcrawdad?

OK, I've been thinking (always dangerous). I'm glad to see those that have already posted have not voted but put up a list of their top three mafia choices. I know full well I will be in a lot of those lists today. That's OK.

Let's examine.

The people voting for NeonJulie: me, JdubR, coler, Fishlady, jessicar, and caveman. So presumably one of us is mafia. I'm not... I know most of you won't believe me at this point, but it's true.

However, let's also look at why we voted for Neon.

JdubR started the NeonJulie vote, no reasons

Fishlady followed, but gave some reasoning

Coler voted... no reasons... this was after I commented, but hadn't voted yet.

Jessicar was next with links to Ice and protesting too much.

I'm next based on the thoughts that madcrawdad presented on day one. I though it true after Dwarf's death. I believed that one of the two of them was mafia.

Then caveman with a serious mafia vibe.

While all this is going on, Madcrawdad doesn't do anything. Later on he posts that NJ is possibly mafia, but decides that sovran is much more likely mafia.

What I'm thinking now is that Mad gets everyone bothered about Julie, makes sure the vote is going the way he wants, the distances himself from the whole thing. At least one of his gang has voted for Julie... to encourage the others, while Mad and another partner start a whole new discussion about someone else. Then he asks everyone to follow his lead and change their votes... This keeps Madcrawdad free and clear of the final lynching.

Now, here's some other things that I saw yesterday. Ice jumped on my case for not following his lead in his split the vote between us thing. Yet, I was jumped on for suggesting an alliance with Julie. [Remember that both our initial votes were very weak.]

So where's that take us?

For today (Thursday, not the game day) is no one make a vote and everyone just present information and a list. EVERYONE needs to do this. Then we can all see what evidence is out there and come to a vote.
 
crap, I knew Jules was innocent, and there it goes... she was the doc too. Geewhiz..... I wonder though where CL has been off to. I'm sure there will be a silly post sooner or later..... I'm still convinced he is Mafia with Mac and Ice in as well and am thinking of Ogre.

Oh btw Ogre...I am pretty sure JRR is no way mafia
 
I began thinking of ogre because of the long detailed message he posted last night. Things just feel like mac, ice and him are all trying to persuade people to join their opinions. However, if I were to put everyone in a list of the most suspected to the least in my list it would be CL/Mac, those two, I am almost completely sure about, then ice..... on the fence about him because of what others say about him seem true but I didn't get the feelings the others did, and then Ogre for the long post last night that made me a little nervous.

Funny that you should mention that, I as fully expected to be whacked in my sleep. As I see it, I don't think that mee-mee was really ONTO anything, any more than anyone else was...her assasination only serves to add to the confusion among townies. IMO the mafia had several reasons for not hitting me last night and I'll detail them (in order from most likely to least likely):

1. Killing me would have absolutely told that I was onto something regarding my accusations of Sovran.

2. The mafia really wants me dead, but they were afraid that the doctor would have agreed with my logic and would be protecting me....

3. I am completely off-base on ALL of my logic/assumptions, and the mafia is having a good laugh while I lead townies on all kinds of adventures.

4. I am mafia.....but fortunately this is not the case.

Ogre, Thanks for lynching our doctor, by the way. Nice way to distance yourself from your vote....."I was LED! I was LED!" Let's not take any responsibility for our actions.

Keep in mind that I offered you, in particular, a chance off of that trainwreck....you declined as you were too busy fighting over the engineer's hat.

Only one I can't speak for here is IceH2O ..his jumping around yesterday on the vote sent up some warning flags for me...

For me, obviously I'm and innocent....

With the JRR/Fishlady thing, I'm a little suspicious of their actions, but why get so far out ahead of the NeonJ lynching knowing that NJ would be found innocent? IMO it would leave them way too exposed.....Please note that I'm not clearing them and I would definitely like to hear a little more from JRR on Day 3.

As far as my list of top candidates, I've got them picked but don't have time right now to post all of my thoughts (or dig for quotes in this beast of a thread). Hopefully I'll have the list up later this afternoon.
