Mafia Game 3

Mad - just because I am suspicious of you doesn't mean you have to turn around and finger me. This is my first game, and yesterday I was following everyone's leads. As I have mentioned earlier today, whilst I am still getting a feel for the game, I am now making up my own mind and decisions. If you want to finger me as Mafia, go right ahead. However, I rest secure in the fact that I am an innocent, and still am watching for more clues. Unlike other people, I want to be sure of who I am lynching, instead of just randomly trying to deflect suspicion. Oh - and Ice - I am no longer lost.

OK to prove my innocence everyone vote for me either way you'll find out if im mafia or not right.
My votes still stays the same...not sure about these people with big hit list's though seam's like a persuasive tactic to me.

as promised here's my thoughts on Ogre. while Ogre is the self-proclaimed mafia master, I think he's made some really strange moves...

here Ogre talks with NeonJ about watching for behavior changes among players...

I've got to agree with Neon, everything today is just figuring out who is linked to who and who's behavior changes in certain situations.

now let's see whose behavior changes?....here's a another conversation with NeonJ

OK Neon, we both know our cases are weaker than a two hour kitten. If you'll change from DP, I'll change from Ice.

here Ogre says "C'mon Julie....follow me" strange enough, but what's more bothersome is that he's treating his 1st day vote as a throwaway, which it's really not. Townies need to realize that every other townie matters...while the chance of just randomly lynching a mafia is only 20%, those odds can be increased if people take the vote seriously....urging Julie to change her vote for no real reason raises a red flag for me...

now a conversation with Coler...

Coler, I appreciate that you're respecting my opinion, but don't follow blindly.

yesterday:

I'm thinking the IceH2O may be trying to distract us and/or encourage us to vote for non-posting (or minimally) posting players as a way to get us to lynch ourselves and get no information in return.

today:

I'm wondering if the majority of mafia are laying low. Let's not forget about the low posters to jump on a high poster.

What the heck is this about?

I vote to lynch no one.

Please note that a vote to lynch no one ABSOLUTELY 100% does NOT help the town...even though accidentally lynching a townie is distasteful, by not lynching anyone, you learn absolutely nothing. then you lose a townie to a mafia hit, and start the next day knowing exactly what you knew the day before. at least if you accidentally hit a townie on the lynch you've learned something. Ogre knows this, and I find it surprising that he'd throw this vote. a newbie to the game might make this mistake, but Ogre's not a newbie is he?

at any rate, I'm not saying that Ogre is mafia at this point, but sure flip-flopping on some issues.... and also very interested in leading folks down different paths. is this all being done for the good of the town? you decide.

my accusation is absolutely not retaliatory....if you look back earlier in the thread I mention in a post directed to Plantling that the 'I'm so confused' smokescreen is a popular mafia strategy.... and you didn't say it once, matter of fact you never stopped saying it....hopefully other folks saw through it as well.

Nightfall will most likely be tomorrow. Seems as though day lasts 48 hours in this town. I think Big Money Corporations run this town and pay us a wage per day instead of hour.

LOL mee-mee, I've also done a lot of reading and re-reading and re-reading.

Plantling returns home after a long day of observing everyone and is worried about the rampant paranoia that may once again cause more harm than good. The hastiness of some votes makes ppl look guilty, even when for the most part they seem like good citizens. Especially when they don't give a good reason. There's still some time left before nightfall, so she hopes ppl like J2R will post more and defend their actions.

In the first case both NJ and I knew are initial votes were weak. We both seemed to believe that rbishop was mafia, so I wanted to ensure that he was lynched and NJ didn't pull a switcheroo on me.

Again, I believe the situation has changed. Day one, we needed information. We got a lot of it. Now... maybe... we can consider lynching lurkers. I don't think it's going to happen though.

I switched from IceH2O to noone because I didn't find any good candidates at the time. Then I switched to NeonJulie at the end there. Now everyone is on NeonJulie's case.

I think that either her or you are mafia.

Again I will hold my vote for the time being. I want to see a few more things first.

that's pretty funny...I was in the same boat with you and her, thinking that one of you (but not the other) may be mafia.... can't figure out how the heck you're getting she or I though.

yesterday you seemed to initiate your temporary alliance with her...

with she and I, though, she tried to lynch me and then starts asking me who to vote for? if you go back and re-read, you'll see that I put the keebosh on that right away, though. I acknowledged what was happening while it was happening, so please realize that you haven't 'uncovered' anything.

the really strange 'alliance' though is with NeonJ and Ice...doesn't make sense if they were both mafia to jump to each other's defense as often as they have.

If I had to pick one of the 4 of us (Ogre, Madcrawdad, Ice, Neon Julie), I would have to go w/ NeonJ at this point. as I said before, she could be forging these 'perceived alliances' so if she gets lynched, then those she interacted with would be next to fall, leaving her bad buddies safe.....now that she's hinting that she might be the detective (or other power role) smells desperate. why reveal this, as it would likely make her role impossible to fulfill for the rest of the game since the mafia will be gunning for her?...

I liked Ice2HO's list much more than OrgeMkV's. Both have valid points.

So before I am called a bandwagon jumper I am going to cast a vote. My guess is that it will be unpopular and could get me killed.

I think this person is responible for rbishop's death and is the leader of the mafia. If this person survives the night and I die, then please lynch him.
