Here's an explanation that should help..... Have you ever been to the movies with a date before, and at some point in the movie turned and said something like 'I bet the guy kisses the girl here,' and it actually happens? Now, did you spend the drive home continually explaining to your date that you weren't really the director of the movie, or do you think he realized that you used your brain to PREDICT such a thing might happen?

We only have a 1 in 5 chance at picking 1 person to be mafia. Using 3 players we knock that down to 1 in 3 at getting a mafia player.

I agree that we shouldn't take a random loss of an innocent. The problem is that it's difficult to pick out the mafia from all of us paranoid innocents. There are currently 8 potential lynching victims. But there's only five mafia. Odds are most of those on that list are innocents... maybe even all of them...

Anyway. I'll probably get jumped on for not answering your question. I'm not mafia... I believe that Neon Julie is. I'm not afraid to put my name on the line (you'll note I'm on the list), what I'm not particularly fond of (like you) is a random vote deciding who gets it.

I would prefer to have a sound solid vote (after some discussion) between three solid candiates, then see how the mafia jump during the night.

If NJ is mafia then they'll tie it between me and you and a random chance takes one of us out. Why aren't you willing to take that chance?

Yeah, I did that during Ghostrider. "The contract is in the shovel." And during The Fountain which is fantastic if you like deep, thick movies... but I digress

Yeah, cause I'm still trying to figure out where you're coming from on this one. I can see the logic behind it... but it's fairly out of the blue. And I didn't want to say anything at this point, but you've got couple of supporters with you on.

I fully expected you to vote for NeonJulie after yesterday.

we actually have a 5 in 18 (nearly 28%) chance of randomly selecting mafia....now that we've lost 2 innocents our chances have gotten better. Ice, I'd say stay where you're at and we'll be dancing in the morning (or at least be whacked by the mob).

To any townies who may be spreading out the vote, if you feel strongly, stay there....otherwise I urge you to make your move to vote for Sovran. The facts are there for you to see.

So maybe we'll luck out and they'll be a tie between 2 Mafia.

Ice, there are six votes for Julie, 1 for me and 1 for you with two people to vote and 9 hours to go. Heck, sovran has more votes than either one of us.

So we both vote for ourselves. Neon is reduced to 5 votes, you, me, sovran, and JdubR each have 2.

Three people have to switch, suddenly and obviously for one of us just to tie with Julie. At this point, I think the mafia are trying whatever they can to distract us from her... without being so painfully obvious that they are.

Look at the action. There was a pretty good flurry of votes earlier for Neon.. after some action yesterday. When she hit 5 or votes... everything slowed down. Now the unsure townies are thinking to themselves and so are the mafia. All of a sudden we have a large number of really out-there votes. JdubR, CoryLover, Sovran, you, me, and 13.

I think that those are the people that are nervous about Julie going down.
