so why suspect me then? I'm just trying to see the logic that makes an innocent like me look to be mafia
 
CC, note that I didn't say that you are innocent, only that I might not find a whole lot in your posts. I haven't gone back yet, but here are my thoughts on how you could be mafia.

I think that most folks closely reading the thread will agree that I came charging out of the gate and was pretty vocal since the game's beginning. It then became the mafia's strategy to whisper in everyone's ear that I was mafia:

1. DD was constantly saying "Mac sure knows alot about what the mafia might be thinking...I just can't shake the feeling that he is mafia."

2. Sovran: "Arrggghhh, I've helped lynch our dear Dwarf Puffer, I should have voted Madcrawdad like I really wanted to."

3. Ogre was a little more vocal and was constantly accusing me of being a strong mafia candidate.

Caveman, at the beginning of the game, you said something to the effect that I seemed "uncaring and like I didn't have the townies interest at heart." This seems to fit in with the more subtle mafia strategy to discredit my game.

Your statement, coupled with some of Ogre's posts about you, however, is what raises a red flag for me. If folks pay attention to day 2, you can see that Ogre is really trying to manipulate me to join in the lynching of NeonJ...but fortunately I didn't bite. IMO Ogre really was looking for me to really take the fall for that fiasco.

Now let's jump back to day 1, where I came at you pretty hard for your statement that I was a likely mafia candidate. Ogre says he didn't really see what all the fuss was in my pursuit of you. Why would he say that? IMO Ogre really wanted me to slip up, and if you REALLY are an innocent I think he might have jumped on it and tried to help me get the ball rolling on that one.

Also, I think folks would agree that your game really hasn't changed much since the onset....you've not really posted a whole lot, and not really stuck your neck out on anything. So why would Ogre pretty much dismiss you as an innocent in the beginning, but say that you have a SERIOUS mafia vibe on day 3, when your game hasn't changed a bit? Was he indirectly trying to distance himself from you?

Townies, think about this and we can talk once Plantling is lynched. All of this is really from memory, so if I've gotten something wrong feel free to correct me.

Not intentionally coming to FL22's defense, just looking to bring you to justice at this point. As far as I recall, JRR/FL voted for NJ pretty much simultaneously, and VERY early...If they were mafia, it doesn't make sense that they would get so far out ahead of that disaster, knowing that it would end badly for the townies.....it would just leave them too vulnerable.

First of all, I never said J2R was Mafia. Anyway, didn't Coler clear him? What I was trying to get at was that FL seemed only too happy to jump on 2nd, a classic Mafia move. And then again this round she's only too happy to vote for me 2nd, letting someone else lead so she won't be so accountable. And she doesn't have to back up her vote because the mayor said so? And I think the mayor is only going on the fact that Coler said to watch me like a hawk since I didn't go along with the plan wholeheartedly.

And FL has never really backed up any of her other votes to date, even joking about jumping on the bandwagon. Very suspicious to me. Lynching ppl should not be humorous.
 
Planting if after you are lynched you're found to be an innocent I'll lead the charge against FL22. But my vote still stands for you this round.

I've been watching her since pretty early in the game anyway.

THREE Mafia were killed last night.

I agree, if you are found innocent, then there needs to be other suspects.

If I make it through the night, I will investigate someone. I highly doubt I will survive the night.

The ONLY way for me to survive the night is if I am mafia.

So if I survive, I will post the results of my investigation (which could not be trusted, because I am not really the mayor).

Maybe I am the Mayor AND Mafia. Like I pointed out earlier, maybe what happened yesterday was all a lie and three mafia members did not get taken out and the real mafia (ran by the mayor) are still running this town. Maybe the innoncents are all mafia and the mafia are all innocents!

If I am wrong about plantling, I will whack myself with one of bkw1982's fish.
 
We have 11 innocents vs 2 mafia. I think we can take the gamble on losing you.

If you're mafia you'd be trying to throw FL under the bus, you both can't be mafia that would just be stupid to push on one another.

If you're innocent that doesn't prove FL is mafia but it warrants a good looking at, past posts and suspicions would make her a huge target for me.

IMO, it doesn't make sense for the mafia to jump on 2nd. Not saying it can't be done, but a more likely strategy would be to hang back and watch which way the wind is blowing and move that way....let the townies lynch themselves and act like you were led along. Only reason they might hop on a little earlier is if one of their own looks like they may be lynched.

Anyone expressing ANY hesitation in that plan is highly suspicious, and I'll tell you why. Before the game was busted open by Coler/JohnLarson, the mafia was moving along nicely with four innocents gone. For Coler, JohnLarson, and BKW to be lying about who they were at that point made ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. The townies still had the numbers, and a race to the finish between the townies and mafia HEAVILY favored the town. As a mafia strategy, that would have been one of the dumbest things they could do.

You're right. Lynching an innocent should never be funny. Keep in mind, though, that the mafia does their best to run the townies around in circles. So, when one of the mafia has been identified, watching them squirm before lynching is a BLAST!

JL I never said you were Mafia. It was clear to me after Coler died that yours and Colers plans were genuine (I fully believed BKW to be an innocent because he was so iffy on your plan also.) I've stated before that I'm a skeptic. Just on the chance that you were not who you claimed to be I didn't want to put all the towns eggs in one basket, so I suggested that BKW could wait on his shot knowing I would get a lot of heat for it. Why would I do that and expose myself if I were Mafia? Wouldn't Mafia want to lie low and throw seconds at votes for lynches so they could claim they were mislead innocents. Yes, if FishLady is innocent, DP can make whatever ending he wants with me. What else can I say? Everyone seems so cavalier about just another innocent being killed to test the waters. Yes, there are more of us than them, but if we keep playing this way, maybe soon there will only be two as the Mafia clearly has us confused. Then it's GAME OVER.
