Just my opinion....it's the constant useless posting by new members that drove me away....not a social network for conversation and idle chit-chat. You need to entertain yourself....do so, but not in the game thread. Low posters don't really bother me, unless I can use it to an advantage to make note of it. As for "intellectual" crap arguements...lies do not fall into that catagory...and it is "intellectual" only if you agree with it...part of the dance.
I also whole heartedly agree with Lady G...the den posting up front and "ghost" rooms is a disgrace, completely. As is dead players still being in communication with active players.

Where is the line between banter and spam? I agree we do get some really useless stuff.
I do think new players are beat up on if they throw out ideas. Happens many times.
I do not think talking is all it requires for a good game. I also think not talking does not work either.
There have been times in the last handful of games where debates have got down right childlike. There is no need for that.

I've played a grand total of 3 games, the first two were ok. they were light and sort of fum (as it was new to ac at the time). However, my last game completely turned me off to the game. AND, I won't be playing again. Some users would make personal attacks on players, and use the excuse "it's just game play". Then others would point out users posts not even game related, and use the excuse "it's how we find out how to get the users style of play". I had real life issues pop up, and i didn't expect much slack. However, I mentioned time frames I would not be able to respond to posts, and people jumped all over me for not responding to them fast enough. I just got fed up with the drama.
How did this thread go from strategy to gripe-fest? I don't think this is what Labby intended when she took the time to write up the OP...
