Mafia who done it! The Play

And honestly I'm not willing to jump on Jpap just yet...there's been many times I've voted early just to avoid a UD...and he may have plans (yeah, the rl excuse). Honestly, I'm wondering why Mad jumped on Jpap for it...and then Ice jumped even harder on Mad...

Day one is starting off interesting...still early, and a lot of people to watch.

You've played enough of these games now, LC, to know that day 1 usually doesn't go the town's way (in terms of lynching mafia). With the high number of mafia (compared to the number of innocents) this game, it's important that folks start kicking in doors and rattling cages early.

And another game begins....:grinyes:

The plus to that is if we're lucky enough to hit Col Mustard the town will win.

Its definitely an uphill struggle this game but with it being 8 to 5 that gives us pretty good odds on hitting mafia.

Watch for normally active players laying low as they could be Mustard. Any innocents need to be active to help the town weed out the bad guys. The more active the easier to tell if you are a good guy or bad guy. laying low only helps the mafia, it doesn't help the town get a good read on you.

Yes I'm talking to you Bkw Cory and Emo.

Ice...it seems every game someone has to say something like that. Everyone knows how I play, I don't talk that much. If you have a problem with me not posting much, then get over it. I have my own gamestyle, it may be opposite from your style, but one is not better then the other. I accept your game style...now just accept mine. I will of course try to weed out the bad guys, I just do it in a different way then you do.

Sorry for the rant...it just is annoying when people always have to pick at how I play.

Well I caved in...that and I just got a PM from JM that was titled: "READ IT!!!"

Hmm...this got me thinking....if JM really wanted LC to read it now...could he be one of the mafia, even colonel mustard?

Your style needs to change with the game style though.

Most games while not helpful wasn't as important to be active. When you have 12 innocents and 5 mafia you have room for error. But its 8 to 5, no room for error. I wasn't dissing your style, just won't work in this setup unless you're mafia.

Wow, Ice and Mad going at it already. The mafia does have some room to trade players for position, could that be an early attempt at distancing?

Let me ask you Ogre, is what you did distancing? You post that and then Mad chalks it up to being aggressive and needing to kick in doors almost as if to saying that what we're doing. Like he is attaching himself to me.

I really see no reason to distance though, with their numbers if we lynch 2 innocents plus their 2 hits they win.

I am here to help the town, I help it in a different way then you do. I watch people intently...I go with my gut (sometimes), and I don't post as much. You can't say that style wont work...you've never played that way before in this sort of game.

Three things are going to happen tonight (unless we find the COL):
1) Lynch a Mafia, Hit an Innocent: 4-7 (I can live with this)
2) Lynch and Hit an Innocent: 5-6 (One more bad lynch and the town loses)
3) Lynch a Mafia, Doctor saves Hit: 4-8 (Much better odds)
4) Lynch an Innocent, Doctor saves Hit: 5-7 (Two bad nights from losing)

Personally I see 1 and 2 being the most likely scenarios...not many games where day one is likely to cause a loss if we get it wrong...While I agree rattling cages and trying to make people slip is what we need to do, I won't let myself get fixated on a single thing...every time I have in the past it's turned out bad for the town.

As for the PM...I think JM realizes that this is going to be a game that probably lasts 2-3 nights, and EVERYONE needs to know where they stand in order for the town to win...some more then others.
