Mag3 with remora skimmer box

I have a Remora Pro with the skimmer box.There doesn't seem to be enough room to fit the Mag 3 prefilter in the box. Has anyone encountered this problem and how can it be fixed?

is it the mag 3 skimming box or the normal size one? check the dimentions online with yours

I have the mag3 with the remora pro along with the preskimmer box. It is a very very tight squeeze to get the pump down into the box but once you get the hang of it it works.

It fits, provided you have the right box. Just play with it a little. The power cord should come out of the left side of the box, if that helps any.

Also, do yourself a favor and attach suction cups to the prefilter box, and then set the pump in there. It is much easier to make it level, and adjust it up and down with the water level. Also, you won't have 100 % the weight of the pump and the box hanging on the connector hose, which can then pop off and fire about a gallon of water all over your floor. How did I figure that out?

probably the same way I did.....thankfully I just happened to be walking past the tank at the time and managed to get it shut off before I drenched everything. It was shooting about a foot into the air......
