magnum 350 modifications

Never tried it and I'm not a fan of magnum filters, but I can't see why it wouldn't work. That being said if you are going to add bio wheels to a magnum you probably won't need much more bio filtration unless you are already pushing the filters rated capacity.

I am not sure what they are claiming. I have 10 Mag 350s with bio-wheels. If the one you have doesn't have them, and you don't want to buy a new Pro, buy the replacement parts and add them.

I also disagree that Mag 350s are just carbon filters. I have several with ceramics or beads in the chamber and they work extremely well.

they say that a reverse flow kit for a marineland powerhead attached to a powerhead adds another stage of mechanical filtration.I don't think bio-wheels will work on my acrylic tank. what are some suggestions for media , I will be runnig 2 mags on a 150 cichlid tank

Many HOBs have issues with attaching to acrylic tanks. The reverse flow powerheads to a UGF do add a lot of mechanical filtration, but also more maintenance on the sponges. Let me measure the throat on my Pro bio wheels...

The Mag 350 Pros bio wheel looks like it will accomodate a 1 3/8" wide rear rim.
