making a cave system

hey guys, i was thinnking the other day of making a play-dough mould of a cave system, and using some sort of waterproof non toxic setting substance to fill it, and running it in the tank.
Cement has been crossed out becouse it contains lime.

the only other thing i can think of is aquariam grade silicon, which would be pretty costly.

can you help me out here?

ok i just read read you can use that expanding foam that builders use. Can anyone back up that story?

I'd like to know what other people have made their cave systems out of, as I'm considering making one myself. So, suggestions anyone?
