has anyone ever done that a little plant rack that raises the plantlings closer to the light so they can have better growth? if so then i think i would like to try it

You could use small 2" terra cotta pots with gravel or rock wool in them, and build a shelf out of eggcrate, similar to a frag tank, to hold them up.

well wouldnt egg crate be to holey like...i guess pots would work but i mean could i make a rack for multipul plantlings because my baby swords that i trim off the mommy sword dont get enough lighting to grow only enough to survive...

egg crate is holey...but then you can put a small sheet of glass or something on it.

hmmm i think i might wanna make one of those but then my tank wouldnt look so good...has anybody tried this with plants?

I was thinkin of taking one of these and attaching it to the back all or letting it hang under the lights. would be a cheap and easy thing to use.

That's a great idea. Now if you could cut off the upper half or so of the front and sides and still maintain structural integrity you could have plants that could hang down from that.

I've been trying to think of how to fill out the background and something like that might just work. I may try it when I knock off some other things on my to do list.
