JTMoney that's a great find! I guess some people just like to over-pay for over-priced items. I make a lot of things that I won't pay the store asking price for. The mark-up is unreal and the things I make are better made and last longer.
how exactly do i work a python? when i put the gravel vac in the tank, do i have to tip it up to remove all the air like i would if i was siphoning into a bucket?
also, what would happen if while i was cleaning the tank, i took the gravel vac out of the water and then put it back in, so i could access the other side of my tank, past the middle brace. would the siphon restart or would i have to shut off the faucet and start over?
I suggest you build one with a shut-off valve where the gravel vac meets screws onto the hose. That way, you can shut off the flow, take the gravel vac out of the water, reposition, fill gravel vac with water, and turn on the flow again.
thats the same article i followed (i got the link from one of your previous posts).
i do have a shutoff valve right at the gravel vac end. so i can just shut that off, lift out the vac, put it back in, and then turn the valve back on and flow will continue?
