I have 2 Malawi tanks. One has mbuna and the other is a peacock/hap mixture. Both tanks have synos. I want to put clown loaches in one of the tanks. I'm looking for suggestions as to which tank the loaches would be better off in. Thanks in advance

I would agree, no clowns or synos with the fish you have.

I have had two - 2 inch clownloaches in my 55 gallon tank with all peacock and hap males for over a year. They have done great. The peacocks and haps have not bothered the loaches at all. However, they were put in the tank the same time the Africans were. That could be why they get along so well.

We have synos and clown loaches in with our Africans and don't have any problems. The clowns hold their own very well - but they all DO have a lot of room - that could be one of the reasons for successful co-habitation.
