anybody know if my dwarf gourami is male or female, i read that females have more faded colour than males so i think it might be female

hmm im not sure, i have a pair of gold gouramis that were given to me, but imnot sure how to tell male from female, sorry.. but i do have that same little red fish you have that is swimming above the gourami, what kind of fish is that? (ive been wanting to know the name of it forever, i forgot what it is!! :thud: )

IMO I would say that the gourami is a male. I could be wrong though, so maybe wait until someone is positive about it to tell you.
Those swordtails are called Pineapple Swordtails

its a swordtail. think its called a "pineapple swodtail"

mine looks exactly like that, the only difference is that mine is orangish-redish on the back half of its body, its darker thaan the one in your picture.. thanks.

Its a male. Its not the most colorful male I've ever seen, but females won't have anywhere near that much color.

Im positive thats a male. Females are usually brown or a good bit less colorful than males.
