Man forced to find home or euthanize 10 year old snakehead

Chris has chosen two animal groups, the SPCA and MaxMan Reptile Rescue (a local group) to receive all proceeds from the sale of the Rocky shirts, they are very cute shirts too. The front has an old fashion wanted poster with Rocky on it. "Wanted, for the crime of being a fish." and on the back of the shirt it says "We got your back Rocky." Current sponsor for the shirts is limiting it to a printing of 200 but others have offered to sponsor the next printings.

Lets sighn petitions, make shirts, fly flags on our cars, get tatooed and maby even make a few bucks on the hype...This all makes us feel better, but will not change the fact a law was passed. Like any new law,(i didnt know) dont cut it.Laws change every year and You have to obey it. Maby a picture of some kids crying would be good in a local paper. Dont get me wrong,IMO they have no business entering anyone house and taking there pets. Ill chain my pitbulls to my snakehead tank right next to my assault rifle cabnet and do whatever i could to keep then too...Good luck to the guy,but i see him loosing his battle...

Dude, tying pits to it would not help... The people would get a warm slobbery welcome...

This animal was purchased legally, and the government is attempting to enforce a law enacted after the purchase. According to the US Constitution, they can't punish this man for owning this animal. Killing this animal is punishment to the owner who has under the laws at the time of purchase had committed no crime. Quoted from http://www.usconstitution.net/glossary.html "Ex post facto ex post facto adj. Formulated, enacted, or operating retroactively. [Med Lat., from what is done afterwards] Source: AHD In U.S. Constitutional Law, the definition of what is ex post facto is more limited. The first definition of what exactly constitutes an ex post facto law is found in Calder v Bull (3 US 386 [1798]), in the opinion of Justice Chase: 1st. Every law that makes an action done before the passing of the law, and which was innocent when done, criminal; and punishes such action. 2d. Every law that aggravates a crime, or makes it greater than it was, when committed. 3d. Every law that changes the punishment, and inflicts a greater punishment, than the law annexed to the crime, when committed. 4th. Every law that alters the legal rules of evidence, and receives less, or different, testimony, than the law required at the time of the commission of the offense, in order to convict the offender."
