My 3" GT (female) has turned out to be Vicious! :devil:Im talking MEAN! She used to share her tank with a 8" common pleco, and a 11" Tiretrack eel, but for some reason she snapped, at about 10 this morning, and started atacking them!! Now she has a 90 Gal all to herself. Oh well, I knew this might happen. (sigh):D

Forgot the question...:D

What, if anything, can I put in the tank with the GT? I was thinking a couple of gold sevs?

Thanks

No way, abso-friggin-lutely not! If your fish has already displayed that kind of aggression, there is no way sevs would work. Severums are one of the least aggressive cichlids. I've seen them in an LFS in a tank with tetras and barbs.

put another GT with her lol . . . . . well they are either gonna kill each other or live hapily ever after lol

If she's going to stay in the 90g, you might run into further aggression problems with another large cichlid in there once they both get big... sounds like you got a wild one :)

How 'bout some dither fish? I like silver dollars, personally

A 5"JD.

my 5 severums are probably the most aggressive cichlids i have..and i have oscars, jags, JD's, GT's..etc..
i have one large male who will chase my peacock bass all over the place..luckily they're too fast for him..

if you put anything with this GT, keep an eye on them..

From my experience she will colm down. Relax, as soon as she gets a bit bigger her temperment should change.
My GT the one in my avator was the smallest fish in my tank. I think back then he was with cons and JDs. He was about 3in when he snapped and the JDs were 4 1/2 to 5in He took over the tank and ate all the food. He grew faster and was the alpha fish and still is do to his size. I did seperate him for some time, Yes. Now my GT lives fine with other cichlids. He doesnt even seem to like eating feeders anymore. He is a semi agressive fish. Sometimes he chases the other fish around just so they know he is boss. Other then that my fish are all getting along. I think he is around 9 1/2 to 10in now.

Oh yeah, one last comment. He REALY hates Electirc Blue Jack Dempseys. I have never seen him want to kill anything so bad!

I got 2 Sevs in with my GT and they all get along great. But they did all grow up together so that could be why they are nice to each other.
