I might want to pick up an arapaima. My hidden shop has a whole bunch of 5 inch arapaima's for 15 bucks.

This is as good as it gets.
Arapaimas are not the ideal fish for a hobbyist fish keeper.
The vancouver aquarium has a couple of them each are 6 feet long.

I've seen a pic of a few in someone's pond. They are a sweet fish, but I'll never get one due to their size.
they really 15 dollars? i would buy a few for that price, i know some guys that will take them once they get a couple feet long.
Yup $15 a peice, the little store is in Chinatown of Seattle. Compare that to $240 w/certificate for one 7inch arapaima that Fish Gallery & Pets charge. They also have alot of African Arowanas(Heterotis niloticus) you dont see those at your everyday fish store. The arapaimas grow fast, the owner of the shop says that a 7inch fish will be nearly 20inches in 3 months.
