mandarin goby

artemia=junk
only if it is live and you are hatching it yourself will it have any type of nutritional value. if you feed unheavily supplimented brine shrimp all the time your mandarin will die an early death from malnutrition and be very subsetible to diseases such as ich or HLLE (which isnt exactly a disease... but you get the point)...

Hi i still feed a variaty of mussles, mysis, krill and daphnia. What vegitable supplement would you suggest to feed. With my FW tank i used to feed spirulina tablets from nutri phase and HBH.

How full up does he look? If he is chubby looking then that is good, except I don't know how well those foods are keeping him truly healthy and happy. Still try to feed him pods, it is their natural diet and will surely help increase their health and life span, also, get a refugium if you don't have one already, and havesome marine algae the pods will populate in inside of it. A hang on will work well for this.

I wish you the best but, have to say that your chances of success are pretty low. Some of them can be trained to eat mysis but, that usually takes quite a while to achieve. Most of the time when people do this successfully they do so in a larger tank where there are pleanty of pods and slowly introduce mysis to their diet. I wish you the best of luck! You could also try live baby brine or live mysis. I don't know that either would work but, it's worth a go.
cheers

Cheers to that one mate. :) I believe in the little guy and he surely has a fighting spirit. When i got him two weeks ago, there was a big gap (torn) in his tail fin. Im proud to say that it has completely healed!:)

i occationaly flood the tank with baby brine for my clown pair (STILL trying to get them to breed....) and my mandarine doesnt even show any interest in them. some will, but jsut saying.... dont count on buying one expecting to hatch BBS every other day.

mine eats very little frozen, but he does pick here and there...theres plenty of his food in and around the rockwork in my tank, but every now and then, usually before a partial water change, Ill stick a prawn into the sand and leave it a couple days or until you see the little critters start to crawl all over it...then shake and remove it...

grab a torch and have a good look in and around your rockwork of a nighttime, you should be able to see what there is on offer for him...

JO...

:hi: Hi everyone, she's been surviving for almost 4 weeks now! she's still a bit thinned out though, not as fat as my clowns. She has become accustomed to feeding times but still a very picky eater. I continue to vary the diet.. was just wondering if it would eat vegetable matter and if so what can i try to feed her?

hi guys, good news.. I included blood worms in her diet starting friday and she absolutely goes mad for it! looking a bit more healthy now. :thm:
