mantis shrimp

well mine shed and went from that purple to neco wafer green, so with every shed he should change

here he is now, playing with a crab. hes a lot lighter than in the pic, so it was a considerable color change

Pretty Stomatopod...I just lost mine (Bree) a couple of weeks ago. Her reef collapsed and I think something broke in her carapace. Sad. She was a joy. I had her over 6 months...she was 6 " long and had beautiful peacock coloring. I don't know if you know, but they are light-sensitive. I used actinic on mine and PVC for her burrow. She had made herself quite a castle. I like the color your's changed into. They get a bad rap. Speaking of, the poster wondered about the "hammer"...it is called a rapt. Just joined AC and don't know quite how to navigate yet...hope I haven't intruded.

We just got cam to take pics...will take some reading to learn how...just got the memory card and then will take some pics.I don't have any of bree...she was a really pretty Peacock....lots of bright blue and red. Her rapts were bright orange.

BTW...I have really slow dial-up, so can't do a lot with pics and can't see some (especially videos...bummer) that others post. I'll be glad when they bring this part of the country to the next century..lol
