You can place it in your tank with some dechlorinator and put some rocks on it so it stays down or you can soak the pieces in a bucket full of dechlorinated water and waterlog it that way.

Do you have anymore thick roots or stumps like this?
Not currently but I may in another month or so.
If you do, let me know, I may need a couple of them. I am looking for something very similar to that piece for a 180gal I'm going to be putting together in the near future =)
