now i got my tank parameters a bit stable now ... DGH of 4.87, Ammonia = 0, nitrate = 5 to 10 ppm, ph of 6.5 to 6.8. temp 74-76F. the shrimps now started eating but i do still have one odd lethargic one that still dies off now and then. i changed the food from hikari algae wafer to shirakura shrimp food. and they love the shirakura food... which im now using on a daily basis...
im just concerned with a death here and there with the water parameters being stable... one member mentioned using maracyn 2, as it could be a bacterial infection... if i were to dose maracyn 2, would it also kill off the beneficial bacteria? i just added shrimp lab bacterhouse to the tank... just wanted to know if maracyn 2 would kill off the bacteria in my shrimplab bacterhouse? I really want to get this set up stabilized 100% and avoid any more shrimp deaths... its quite frustrating...
