maracyn two queston

The package says to use two packets per ten gallons of water, for the first day and then 1 packet per ten gallons of water on the second to fifth day.


Seems a little much to use on the first day , is the first day double dose neccesary?

I'd follow those dosing directions. It isn't going to hurt anything - I used the maracyn/maracyn II combo and my biofilter even stayed intact. It'll cloud the water, but that's about all.
