Has anyone ever experienced their hermit crabs attacking their anemones? I got a BTA a week and a half ago, and its been doing great so far...picked a spot in a crevice that it likes, eats just fine, good color, etc. At least as far as I can tell it looks all right.

Tonight I noticed one of my newer hermit crabs chewing on something near the BTA's foot...I thought it was maybe excrement since it looked kind of stringy, but it made me feel uneasy so I shoved the crab away. Then later on, a bigger hermit crab almost crawled into the center of the anemone! It was hard to tell what it was doing in the tentacles. The two crabs that bothered the BTA were not blue legged ones but hawaiian ones i think.

Any thoughts?

Actually ever since I moved the crab he hasn't come back and I have yet to witness any other crabs doing this. So oh well! If it happens again and I see it, I will snap a picture and post it. The BTA still seems to be doing well...eating and keeping its color. It's so cool :)
