I would have bought them - they were not very expensive ..

IMHO you did good by not purchasing them.

Hatchets are the craziest/dumbest fish which I have ever kept. Their stunts include but definitely are not limited to knocking themselves out on the top of the tank with subsequent death.

Unfortunately not. I didn't take my camera into the pet store, and I'm not sure what they think if I start taking pics there.

Talk to your LFS your reasons for taking pics. You need to have both identified.
