Hello all,
I am thinking about setting up a rectangular planter box that will be mounted above my 75 gal tank, roughly 36"x12"x12". I want to fill it with a hard clay soil and put in a few marginal bog plants. I was thinking about keeping it wet with a spray bar and a drainage on the bottom that goes back into the tank. The tank is in the basement with hardly any natural sunlight coming in. Is this setup possible with some type of artificial lighting?

Definately possible. What kind of budget do you have for your lighting? Anything from shoplights that you can buy from Home Depot, to CF lighting you can buy from places like here will do just fine.

I have ~$200 saved for this project. My main concern is how much wattage and time the lights should be left on for this planter box.

Thanks,
Romeo.

Thanks.
