Marina Micro LED lights

Hi,I experimented with white & blue LED lighting on a reef tank earlier on this year. I made up an eggcrate unit that sat on legs atop the tank [200ltr] and fitted 2.7watt individual units [20off] in parralel on 3 timers. Plus two units of 2 LED's on permenantly as night moon lights. The cost was approx £80 and the effect absolutly magic. beautifull . With a little computer fan blowing [ though there is no heat as such from LED units] the ripple effect is enough to blow your mind. Go for it, alternatively you can buy made up units of 5 LEDS with a 12v transformer, at £85 a time, but to make your own and see such a lovely effect is worth the effort. I wouldn't play around with othere colours it doesn't look natural enough. I hope this gives you food for thought. Regards.
