Marine Nano - 1 Year And Going Strong

Might, then again might not, not too bothered if she does though. It's pretty hit and miss with CB's. The species is mostly vegetarian so they're one of the more coral safe angels. At the moment she pecks a bit at some of the leathers but nothing major, they just close a few polyps for a bit and then open up again.

Very cool pics TN.. Your coral beauty doesn't look that bad.. Add some Selcon (if you can get it) to her food and it will also help with her color a little bit as well. Looks like the parasites did a job on her so good save.

I also have a CB and he doesn't touch my softies. SPS on the other hand are alcart for him. Only had them in the tank two days before they were decimated.

Thanks.

She was very emaciated for a fair while, she would only eat tiny amounts of every food I offered. I figured it was most likely internal parasites so I bought some medication and got the QT ready. Before treating her though I decided to try feeding her some fresh garlic soaked food, and to my suprise it worked. Within 10 days she had become an absolute pig, developed a round tummy and finally began to fill out around the head. She's not out of the woods yet, young angels can be tricky to keep alive even when healthy but she's looking good for now.

Selcon is something you soak food in right? I don't think its sold in Aus but we have a few similar products, might try one and see if it works.

nice tanks, Is that a bird cage in the backround?? What kind of bird do you have???

great tanks (especially the SW nano) and pics ! really inspiring me to try something similar - thanks for sharing.

It does look like a parrot cage doesn't it but its actually a small dog cage :). Why do I have a dog cage on a table on the patio, long story but basically my house can't be closed up and since my cat kept getting bashed up by the other neighbourhood cats he has to be locked up at night. He's my very rare Catbird. And its on the table because my terrier would bug the hell out of him if he was on the floor.

What kind of fish is that blue/orange one? (Cupid I think?!)

He's really gorgeous!

Yeah Cupid is a gorgeous fish. He's a Coral Beauty Angelfish (Centropyge bispinosus) one of the pygmy angel species. The name really suits him too because he spends the whole day following the sixline around the tank, aw young love :grinyes:.
